graciescaptor
How much are you budgeting this year? How many people do you buy for? I think ours is going to be between $750 and $1000 for DD, DS, hubby, myself, 2 sets of parents, 2 nieces, and coworkers. This doesn't include the laptop I am getting for ME! Yea!!!! The laptop is not a Christmas gift, it is for school.
biomajor
I'm shooting for about $800 for my son, daughter, husband, 3 nieces, 1 nephew, 3 sets of parents, my 3 brothers and 2 sisters and some sort of "family" type gift for my 2 BIL's. I have a good start on the brothers and sisters (I have the Dave Matthews CD's from Amazon that were a penny each) and will probably just buy a game for the BIL's families. My family exchanges gifts completely, but my husband's family doesn't.

Gporter34
Hopefully I will stay in budget this year.lol Last year I set it at $500.00 and actually had about $40.00 left. So it will stay the same and maybe I can do even better.
outnumbered
My budget is around $75 per child (that includes gifts from dh and I, from Santa, and the stocking stuffers), something worth $100 or so but on sale for much less for dh and I LOL, and everyone else about $20 each. elena_398
I don't have a budget. In general, I spend between $150-$300 on the kids (each). My sons one gift (remote control hummer was $100). Depends on what they want. Of course they don't get everything they want, but I try to get some items from their list. My husband is buying my son a keyboard for christmas so that is running around $200. So I may be spending about $500 for his christmas this year. My husband gets a christmas bonus check which runs around $2000++ so that pays for our christmas and pays for the gifts for my nephew and nieces too. They quit doing the semiannual bonuses and only have annual bonuses now at my husband's office--and they come in March or so now (just in time for the big bosses to use them for their taxes LOL)
outnumbered
Yeah...my budget does vary depending on what they want. This year Christopher is dying for something like Brian's Leapster. I don't want to have two of the exact same toy, so I am getting the Pixter for him. It seems more up his alley anyway--it's focused more on creativity and he'd love the little games and drawing activities. But the price of that is more than I spend on him for Santa and "mommy and daddy" gifts combined. The boys also have to get the same number of presents, or close to it, because they don't notice prices but do notice if one of them got a lot more than the other. I couldn't get C just one thing and have B get 4 or 5 (smaller, lower priced) gifts. So...not sure what I'm doing here LOL. I can't afford to spend $100+ per kid. But they can't get just one gift apiece, either.
elena_398
My husbands company has been doing that for about 4 yrs now. It helps so much. Things are never tight now in January like it used too.
rockpzazz
Don't really have a budget, but I don't have many people I want to buy for. I know what I'm getting for everyone, and if it's on sale BF fine, if not, I'll just shop BF for me.
Guest Deals4Me
We set limits, about 20 bucks a member in the family...OR LESS. I am really good at getting expensive stuff cheap... like my Father in law, we bought him a 6 port USB hub for $4 (was $20) AND a Digital Photo Viewer, you put in your media card, hook it up to the TV, and you can use the remote it come with, or the buttons to play all like a photo show and skip pics...rotate it, voom...etc. It was only $6, and it was originally $50! So father inlaw is done...and would of been WAY over my original budget!
