Rockfordmom Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 Instead of the $2 they usually do (not sure when they went from $3 to $2 ??) and they limit you up to 20 per month instead of the 3 or 5 per day limit they used to have, this week only.
richmond282 Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 do you just take the cartridges in or is there a coupon or something?
Rose0426 Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 do you just take the cartridges in or is there a coupon or something?Only valid this week Jan 9 - 15, 2011 Wondering that to. Just pulled up their ad and looks like you have to be a member of their Worklife Rewards or Star Teacher program. Also looks like they don't issue you the credit right away, but give it to you in the form of a gift card at the end of the quarter?? Still not bad, have to see how many I can raid from my office.
amyers12345 Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 Dang! I've got at least $20 at home and I'm right next to there now That's $100!
Rockfordmom Posted January 10, 2011 Author Posted January 10, 2011 you just take the cartridges in, no coupon needed you do need to be part of their rewards program, sorry I didn't mention that, it's just a points type of cards that they scan every time you go in there and earn rewards. They send you a giftcard with your rewards that you earn a couple times a year
amyers12345 Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 The rewards cards are free at any register!
cberrytech Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 Instead of the $2 they usually do (not sure when they went from $3 to $2 ??) and they limit you up to 20 per month instead of the 3 or 5 per day limit they used to have, this week only. I can't even begin to state how I feel about the new "limits and restrictions" to this program. They are as bad as Staples! I don't shop either place anymore because of it. Not even for the penny Back to School deals.
Rockfordmom Posted January 11, 2011 Author Posted January 11, 2011 I never saw anything about them switching from $3 to $2 per cartridge until I was at the store with my cartridges. Every time they changed something about their rewards program they used to notify you about it.
Backstagemom Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 Our Office Depot went to 20 cartridges a month no matter when you bring them in a while ago but switching the amounts is something they should tell you.
Rockfordmom Posted January 15, 2011 Author Posted January 15, 2011 They have their ad online for next week (1/16 - 1/22) and they have it again next week!
nef Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 I just took back 18. I have never shopped at office depot, but for a $90 credit I'll learn!
amberj365 Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 I quit shopping at Office Depot after they messed me up with my rewards twice in a row. And it does no good to argue or fight with them, so I've given up. In order to actually recieve any of the awards you have to make purchases with them. Since I'm not buying from them, it wouldn't do me any good to turn in the cartridges, they'd just mess me up again! I'm now shopping at Office Max.
Rockfordmom Posted January 16, 2011 Author Posted January 16, 2011 How did they mess up your rewards and did you argue in the store or call corporate?
txsupermom Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 I took in 20 cartridges on the 14th and nothing is showing up on my account. Do they update the Work Life account when you drop off the cartridges? I know the awards are given out quarterly, I just was curious if they are reflected anywhere.
Rockfordmom Posted January 17, 2011 Author Posted January 17, 2011 I've never checked my account before, did they give you a receipt when you dropped the cartridges off? I saved mine so when I get my rewards I can make sure it's right.
txsupermom Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 I do have a receipt showing all 20 cartridges, but the description of each one entered is: PROMO DISC $OFF -0.01 The receipt doesn't say anything about the promotion. I've never done this before, so don't know if that is the norm. Clerk at the front said that was correct, but not sure she even understood my question. Is that how your receipt looks too?

Yes, that's how the receipt always looks.
Rockfordmom Posted January 18, 2011 Author Posted January 18, 2011 that is how the receipt looks I just got an email from Office Max that I earned $30 in rewards from them!
