JollyGG Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 I have all my shopping done except for my nephew. He just moved in with his Mom in South Dakota having moved from his Dad's in Mississippi. I want to spend around $25 and am having trouble finding anything I really like for him in that price range. He's been living with his Dad so I don't know him that well and can't tell you a whole lot about what he is in to.
dealluvr Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 how about look at walmart and get a pair of slippers. also a pair of lounge pants.my kids love the sleep pants. then get him a lot of stuff like little sizes of axe, blade,a deodorant, lots of toiletry things and a book or magazine or a wallet with a gift card for mcdonalds or something
Cinnamonhuskies Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 Gift cards to fast food, Gamestop, or Target are always good.
allshoppedout Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 well, go shopping today? did ya get something? tell us
HansieDZ Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 How about a hoodie and gloves I second the suggestion of warm clothes/accessories.He's probably going to need them in South Dakota!
guilliam Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 A gas card is always appreciated or a giftcard to walmart is pretty versatile. My ds20 thinks getting clothes as a gift is a crime LOL. He's getting them anyway LOL. Young adults, especially boys, tend not to buy clothes for themselves.
JollyGG Posted December 19, 2010 Author Posted December 19, 2010 We decided to exceed our budget and get him ski lessons - http://www.terrypeak.com/activities/lessons/adultlessons/Index.cfm I ran it past his mom since I didn't want to go over what we planned to spend unless she thought he would love it and she thinks it will be his favorite present.
JollyGG Posted December 19, 2010 Author Posted December 19, 2010 A 20 year old young WOMAN???? My understanding is that he already has one of those, even if she is back in MS.
Elmck Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 I think the ski lessons are a great idea. DD and her DH are going to visit the grandparents in Reno NV to go sking in Feb 2011, and have never been I wish I had thought of this.
