Promom Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 Mil gives us $75 each and for the life of me I can't find anything for me. Help?
HansieDZ Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 One thing for $75 or can you get several things adding up to $75 or does it even matter? Maybe look on Amazon at their wish/gift list. What a "problem" to have!
dealluvr Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 ed hardy earrings they are $49.00 they are lever back roses.they are just like silver and black. along with that i would choose lingerie
tdanette Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 Spend it on something that you never would have taken the money out of your budget for! There has to be one or two things you would like to have but just haven't been willing or able to spend the money for. Go for it now!
jenvargas Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 Hun treat yourself to a day at the spa. Get ur hair done a back massage and pedi. That's something us mothers don't get to do to often but sure need it. ; )
dealluvr Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 gift certificates for a movie and lunch every week for as long as the money is there
Buckeye Shopper Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 I love vera bradley. Definitely something you don't "need".
allshoppedout Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 Is there maybe a performance you'd like to go to ? A hockey game, a concert? a broadway show that tix are not yet on sale for? You could ask her to please order them (2?) for you when they are on sale... if it is more than 75 then tell her you'll pay the rest back to her. . . I like dealluvr idea about the movies and I have done something like this for people who say they don't want anything: I have bought cards for places that are on their route to work...maybe you would like that --> a 10 dollar gift card to Walgreens, 10 dollars for MCDONALDS, 10 for dunkin donuts, 10 for Borders, and so on... so that for several weeks (however they choose to space them out) they can stop by and not have to pull out cash. They can pick up a coffee at DD on a rainy a.m. when they had no time to get a cup at home, or use the walgreen's card to run on lunch and get new pantyhose they just snagged.... and it is great to not have the extra (coins) change jingling in your pockets. .
Jen198 Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 I am finding it hard to find things I want for Christmas this year too...Hubby keeps asking lol I did find a leather jacket I have been looking at for a few days and he wrote it down..so thinking I will get that! Especially when its on sale for a couple hundred off reg price! I would def get things you normally wouldn't want to buy yourself. Good Luck!
Kibit13 Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 Do you have a favorite perfume or make up that you would like, but don't want to spend the money on it?
Promom Posted December 17, 2010 Author Posted December 17, 2010 Thanks for all the suggestions. I hate to say that I must be getting old because it's getting hard to get something just for me unless I need it. (boy, I hope I can change that). Finally decided and getting the new vera bradley weekender, it's a little more but dh said he'd put the extra to cover it. Now I just have to wrap it, take it to mil's house and then open it. Hope everyone has a great holiday.
