Cinnamonhuskies
I have a Senseo from a GottaDeal deal a few years ago as a freebie. I got a bad batch of pods from Amazon and had a horrible case of food poisoning Amazon pulled those pods from their store and (hopefully) replaced them. Anyway, after that I cant stand to drink coffee from my old Senseo...pychological reaction i know, but still.....so I got a Mr Coffee 4 cup from the hardware store so I can have my coffee in the morning. Its OK, but I keep looking at those Keurigs, especially the RED MINI. :) So for $100 or so, what is keurig coffee like and how does it compare to the Senseo? Price of KCups to Pods? smurfgirl
I love my senseo. Mine is also a freebie and it's still going strong. I make my own pods, so I can use whatever coffee I want to. My neighbor has a keurig and complains about the cost of the kcups all the time. Sorry to hear about the bad batch of pods you got:(
Moosette541
My mom had the free Senseo too. She bought a Keurig over the summer and loves it. She got it at Kohl's with a 30% off coupon and also stocks up on the cups when she gets the 30% coupons too. She's also has the thing to make her own K-cups as well. The variety for the Keurig is much better than the Senseo (at least for what she was ever able to find). (And the red mini is so cute, that's the one she has!). Cinnamonhuskies
I just ordered the red mini from Kohls with the 30% off:D I figured if I change my mind and decide to keep the cheasp Senseo, I can always return it when it gets here. What KCups are the best?
jenvargas
I'm getting a keruig for Christmas Santa spilled the beans LOL. Green mountain coffee is really good. Also Italian roast is good and emerils coffee. They have Starbucks coffee and latte but I haven't tried those yet.

Cinnamonhuskies
yep, my Senseo leaked too...piddled all over the counter. I just dealt with it because it was free. If I would have paid retail for it I would have been irritated!

What KCups are the best?I bought the Mr. Coffee one that's made by Keurig a couple of weeks ago when Target was offering a $20 gift card when you bought it because it was cheaper than the other ones ($80), and so far I really like it. I haven't had the chance to try too many of the varieties yet, but the ones I like so far are Newman's Own Special Blend Extra Bold, Green Mountain Donut House Chocolate Glazed Donut, Green Mountain Dark Magic, and Timothy's Decaf Columbian. Yesterday, I ordered several sample size packs from Keurig's web site so I could try some different flavors.

cgs
I used to have a Senseo. It's a Dutch brand that was created with Douwe Egberts, a coffee company in the Netherlands. Anyway, i ditched it. Really didn't like the taste. Very weird taste of coffee.
Stowasser
we have a senseo and like it, it does have some problems with leaking coffee (not sure where tho) and I bought a duc filter (its a permanent filter) that we put in any type of coffee (it does need to ground fine tho) and like it. I didn't know you could do that with Keurig though, hmmmm
beck6100
Live keurig. Never used any other brand. And don't use it for more than two cups a day
hack2222
Buy the K-cup and use whatever flavor of coffee or other product you want. So you don't have to buy the cups all the time
