amiller17
Last year at Walmart I found out that you could do a mark down on any items in law-a-way if you found it on sale some where else for a lower price. I just took the ad in and they adjusted the price. I suggest you find what you want that is going to be on sale BF, if it's available, and put it in law-a-way (it's free) and than have them price adjust it. They will only do this once - or so they say. I did it several times because I told them that I would cancel the lay-a-way and the manager said when I got it out to bring it up front and they would refund it and resale it to me at the lowest price. I saved big matching ads. Walmart will not match buy on get one free or any percentage off items. I price compare all year long for groceries, toys for the kids, gifts - you name it I price compare it. In groceries say Kroger is having a sale on Kroger brand items you can buy walmarts brand at the kroger brand price ( walmart is usually called Great value). Walmart wants your business and will give you the other stores price. Insist on talking to a manager or district manager if the cashier says no or acts like she can't do it. I also know you really don't have to have the ad - my sister was a dept. manager. It's the CSM's job to have to have the ads to the surrounding stores. I have told them to call the store if they have any questions - I have the number with me. We only have a Walmart, so I go online and look at the Meijer ads, and Kroger in another town close to us is in another district so it runs a different ad ( usually better than ours) and I use it too. I have some of the associates there asking me what is on sale this week so they can save money too. Have fun and save money while you do it!!!
