Paramus, NJ Malls to Open at 5 AM?

This is news. Paramus has very strict laws about not opening before 7 AM or opening on Sundays. I assume this would affect other Paramus stores on the Rt 4 and Rt 17 strips - like Kohls, Kmart etc.

I usually avoid that area and do my shopping in less crowded Hackensack which has no restrictions!

It was on the cover of the Record today! I'm shocked! Though normally I go south or west for my BF shopping.

*sigh* So much fail. Those antiquated laws really need to be done away with once and for all. Doesn't matter that much to me, but it's still very, very stupid.

I am somewhat sympathetic to the law (to an extent), for the sake of retail employees. Anyway, it makes for an interesting opportunity to be at the early opening for certain stores outside Paramus, then get to Paramus for their opening time.

I'm not sympathetic to the law at all...not when it comes to BF, but in general I'm sure retail workers would rather have the choice to work Sundays if they so choose. The whole thing has no place in modern society.
