Wow, that would be awesome. I have been looking for my cousin one for one of his kids, and was thinking of ordering him one from Walmart. Think I will wait and get it at Target.

I am not familiar with this processor any comments , god or bad?? Do you think this will be available online is their electronics in sale adds usually online.? I guess this is there big pre black friday sale they advertised.

I don't know if it is available on line. The ad will come out Sunday, it may say in it. It will be available in stores. I understand that Walmart is having difficulties with their online sale they had planned for today. Hope they get it going because I know some of you need two of these.

Okay this sounds horrible but, do you think that target will have it now I could buy it and then just have it price adjusted??

I think some gottadealers already have done that. They had to ask the store employee to look in back, but they were able to buy it now with the intent of having it price adjusted, with presentation of the receipt at guest services, later.

Which is better - The compaq net book that will be sold at Best Buy on Black Friday day or the Acer net book being sold at Target?

Need to be careful with the buying in advance. The ones they have out now in stores are ones with Windows 7 and not with "Windows XP Home" as the ad lists. You may end up not being able to price match it they are different models

I just looked at the one I got today and yes it does have Windows 7 starter although the electronics manager is who went in the back and got it for me and told me to bring in my reciept Sunday for adjustment. Hmmm

Please note that it only has 4 hour battery life. That may work for you, but it is really short. My netbook lasts 8 hours which is about right. The difference in price for this one and the ones that last 8 hours is purely the price of the 6 cell battery rather than the 3 cell that this one has. If you want to replace the battery you end up spending the difference. So, just an FYI.

Oh, and several places including Radio Shack and several other stores either have it or will have it for BF at this price.

Picked 1 up today at Target. Was unsure about the battery life but it comes with an adaptor which means you can always plug it up. I was also surprised to find out that this computer also has a web cam. I think the $178 price with the free case was well worth it. Wow. I went into Target on Sunday right after church let out and they were out of stock. Have called 2 different Targets this week and neither have gotten any more.
