Here is a deal that I think is worth the trip. From last year's experience, I was able to get items priced matched in Target and use their coupons along with manufacturers coupons.

Please note: you have to bring Toys r us toy book to show at target.

Target's sale price $49.99

Toys r us price: $39.99

Target's Coupon Book: $10.00 off

Manufacturer's coupon: $5.00 off expires 11/30

Final Price should be $24.99 + tax

You may get lucky... but technically, Target only price matches AFTER their coupon is used. So, if the Target price is $49.99, using their coupon will make it 39.99 and when you take your receipt to CS to price match, they will just tell you that their price is equal to TRUS. Therefore there is no benefit to a price match.

I don't know if some people are lucky and can get the cashier to price adjust at the point of sale, but every Target I've been to makes you purchase the item and THEN take it to CS along with the ad for the price match. Target coupons adjust the price of the item automatically, so it will show up on your receipt as $39.99.

Possibly just take the entire transaction to CS and bypass the cashier altogether. You may get lucky and get a clueless CS person. I'm pretty certain though that the Target policy on price matching is to only match AFTER all of their own store coupons are used.

Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong and if there is a written policy that contradicts what I'm saying, I'd LOVE to have it so that I can use it when I try to price match in the future!!

You might give it a try. Ya never know!

What KCTraderbear said is true. Their written coupon policy says that they will apply the coupon and THEN do the price match. So, in this case, you wouldn't save any money. However, if you take the item directly to customer service, do the price match and THEN hand them the coupons, they may take them. But it's a case of YMMV and the written policy is working against you.

But that's a great deal...would be worth a try if you are in the market!
