Renkat Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 My in-laws (in their late 70's early 80's) like to watch movies and I thought about getting them some dvd's for Christmas this year. Any deals I need to watch for or that are out there now? Any other ideas ? Also thought about puzzles. Thanks!
noehlp Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 (edited) This question belongs in the Black Friday forum, moving it there now. They like movies, but do you know which ones? What about doing a gift card to a Movie Rental Store (Blockbuster, Mr. Movies, etc.)? If they aren't on any strict diets you could also put together a 'basket' or something to go with it that would hold snacks for them to eat while watching movies, maybe even a drink, and small package of napkins? I don't know what price range you are working with, but these are neat! Renkat Posted November 5, 2010 Author Posted November 5, 2010 Thank you for the addressing the housekeeping issue - not sure what I'm doing yet as far as posting. Love your basket idea - thanks!!
tokanm Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 I did Netflix and my elderly Dad and his wife LOVED it. They did not have to leave the house in bad weather etc. I did have to explain how the whole thing worked but once they started they were huge fans of the convenience and esp not having to return the movies to the store.
