Is the Vizio 37" 1080p LCD HDTV for $399 a good deal at Target?

They gave me a sample when I asked for it in the store. I would suggest the matte finish.

My in-laws (in their late 70's early 80's) like to watch movies and I thought about getting them some dvd's for Christmas this year. Any deals I need to watch for or that are out there now? Any other ideas ? Also thought about puzzles. Thanks!

I would highly recommend you go to the Apple store if you can. Most of the associates know what they're talking about and they do not try and sell you on anything you don't need. You can even call ahead and make an appointment and they will spend as much time as you need. You tell them what you want to be able to do and they make suggestions - in my case, I thought knew what I wanted when I went in (macbook Pro) but the "expert" I spoke to told me that I could get a desktop/iMac low-end model in my case and an iPad for less money (I needed some portability for just a few things.) He even wrote down everything and the prices of each along with AppleCare and other accessories and I could compare and see in person the price and feature difference. So they try and find the best solution for you and your situation rather than just sell you the most expensive thing.

The trees have rotating stands. I want one of these too. I have seen them advertised at different places like Home Depot etc. I have not checked online yet but you could search there to start. Good luck!

I've heard the following items talked about as top of the list: anything "Bakugan" Nintendo DS Scene-it dvd games Lego Star Wars stuff Hyperdash I'm sure there's more here that I am not aware of - especially for girls. And, of course, there's always the video game systems with games. Good luck.

I'm looking for deals on Apple desktops or laptops - going to convert to Apple - I want a system powerful enough to handle my scrapbooking needs - lots of pictures and I want to try video too. I have high speed but it's sooo slow that I think it's my computer rather than ISP. What's the best system to get for handling lots of stuff - can a notebook/laptop handle it - what specs? Thanks! (First ever post so I hope I'm in the right forum or whatever.)
