Is this a good one? DD 12 wants one for Christmas and the price is good but want one that is easily handled by her too.

This looks good to me esp the 5 X zoom. The only thing I do not see is image stabilization.? I know many people do not like Kodak but I have a friend who is a pro and said it is all about the lens and Kodak lens are good quality according to her. Kodak also invented digital photography. I think I might take the plunge

I think this would be a perfect camera for a 12 year old and it's a great price! I got my kids cameras & camcorders last year, but they were cheaper cameras so I'm contemplating this and the camcorder.

That is not a 5x optical zoom but a digital. The optical zoom is only a 3x

I have a 12.1 MP Camera with 3X Optical Zoom that takes ABSOLUTELY AWESOME pictures! It's a Cannon not a Kodak & it was more than $70 and it didn't come with a SD card and a case, but it looks to have a lot of the same specs as mine.

My 22 year old daughter has the Kodak M853 with the 3x optical zoom ... it doesn't take very good pictures. My 18 year old had the same camera & it broke in a year.. again, her's did not take a good quality picture either. My 18 year old went out and got a Sony 3x and it is a much better camera. My 22 year old has a smart phone and is using the camera in that for her pictures.. and they are much better than the Kodak. I know the advertised Kodak is not the same model as theirs but it is a Kodak 3x optical zoom

Is this the same one that was just the daily deal on Walmart's web site for $78? Crud. I bought that one and I bought an extra memory card.

So far, from what I"m seeing, I'm still happier with the Walmart one LOL
