BridgeIU Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 When I was in HS many many years ago (sigh), I always appreciated warm gloves. I always got them in my stocking and could never keep them from the prior christmas. :) OK, I MIGHT have been a dork... but my hands were warm! :)
HijodelDuce Posted September 30, 2010 Posted September 30, 2010 Don't get shaving gel. Get real shave cream instead. It lasts 3 to 4 times longer and works 10 times better and if he needs a razor get a real one not some new fangled one that takes $20 refills
Kim3498 Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 (edited) I always go to Hallmark and get a bar of money soap for DS12 and DH. It is a bar of soap with money rolled up inside it. DS got a $50.00 bill in his last year. Made it alot easier to get him in the shower every night too. Lol...he would've took 3 showers a day to have gotten that money outta that soap faster. Things I have put in that was a huge success include: a wallet, watch clip, ink pen, slipper socks, toboggan (or cap), gloves, key chain, and video games,I always have to get football (or whatever sport the guy is into) cards packs, just a few ideas for the guy... For girls I would go with makeup **like lip gloss in clear, my personal favorite is MaryKay's Starry**, mascara, nail polish, (I like PinkDiscount.com for discounted makeup), key chain, slipper socks, ink pen, scarf. EDIT: Came up with a few more girl item ideas....how bout travel size hair spray (I can't leave home without it Lol), small bottle of lotion, small bottle of perfume, and Yankee Candle scented sanitizer. Hallmark has ink pens that are personalized with names (or best teacher, grandma, etc...) in both gold and silver. Picked one of those up for DH. Edited October 2, 2010 by Kim3498

Thanks.I have only saw them in my local one starting around mid-October through Christmas. They guarantee 1 bar per box to have a $50.00 bill in it. DS noticed it sitting on the counter 3 years ago. I have bought them one every year since. They always have alot of fun with em.

I have several teens to buy for and this will be great. How much do they go for?
Kim3498 Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 Awesome!!! I will be on the lookout for them. I have several teens to buy for and this will be great. How much do they go for?Just stopped by Hallmark and they already have them in. The price is $10.99. I have saw them on Ebay for around $5.00, but I guess I just feel like they have a little better chance of getting a bigger bill in the ones from Hallmark.

Kim3498 Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 Thank you!! I am going to call my hallmark store (they are an hour away and see if they have them in)Your welcome. The cashier told me that some of the Hallmark's carry them year round. She said that they are looking to do that at their store because they sale so well. Since you have teens to buy for, you might want to look at the personalized ink pens that they have as well. They are available in gold or silver and have a persons name engraved on them. They are $8.95 and are really nice...I found them back in back of the store with the personalized mugs.
racerfan Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 Thanks that might be nice too. Unfortunately DD's name is Kirsten and it is very hard to find stuff with it spelt that way. Usually it is Kirstin and of course Kristen. DS I can find.
shopperpro Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 Money Soap! Too cool. I have two 12 year ol boys and a 16 girl to stuff stockings for. My 9 year old neice is still easy - lol.
redspider61 Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 cool colored jump drives to hold school projects and such..if the boys are gamers online like xbox or world of warcraft you can buy giftcards for online time...play instruments? check out local music stores for giftcards they can buy guitar strings, sheet music etc..yes gas cards are always good and it seems such a little thing but we sell a crapload of batteries the day after christmas so prehaps an assortment of them or a battery charger.you can always ask dm or dd what gifts they got that need batteries
Promom Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 I get magazines, (sports illustrated, people, etc.). Great cause it takes up alot of space. And usually every christmas day or day after, I see the mags come out after they finished opening everything else. It's nice and quiet when the mags come out.

I do magazine subscriptions in the stockings. I print out a picture of the magazine and put it in an envelope. The first time I did it a few years ago I was going to get the actual magazine from the store and put the subscription note in the front cover. Well I got to Walmart and saw the single cover price was more than I paid for the whole year and I about crapped! That is why I put the picture in the envelope and do it that way.
redspider61 Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 hmm i never thought about printing out a picture out of the magazine thanks..:)
