how or where did you do this at ? I haven't heard of it.

Last week some mom posted it on here somewhere. Maybe you can search amazon mom in gotta deal search box. I think when you went on amazon there was a notice about joining. I followed the link in her post. THe next day it gave me an extra month and there was a lot of discussion about it. It should

NO ,it's not free ship for a year, it's 3 months unless you buy stuff from amazon baby department . My youngest is 14 so that's out, but it's still a good deal.

I said UP to a year and since I get autoship on diapers every month I can get prime free for UP to a year. First order it was 3months and ever since then I get emails stating my prime has been extended every month. You have to spend I think $25 at least each month to get it extended so yes it is free ship UP to a year :D

But you can buy a $1-$2 pacifier and give or throw it away if you need to- then your Prime is only $12 a year. It's also able to be extended 18 months by doing that (21 total).

Also it doesn't have to be a "baby" item to be part of the Amazon baby section. I keep earning free months and the last month I got was for ordering 4 Leapster games (when they were $10.00 a few weeks back). There are a lot of non-baby items that renew it.

Actually there are several things i have ordered that count as baby in the arts and crafts departments and home furnishings and I have no idea why, but it keeps my free prime going anyway :)

With the Amazon Student membership it is an entire year free. I even got refunded a prorated portion of my unused Prime membership! It was perfect and highly recommended to any students with an .edu account!

My daughter is a first year college student and I signed her up and when I order I tell her just fwd all email..DO NOT LOOK! She uses it for books and I get to use it whenever!!

Got my kites today. Ordered 3 all shipped in different boxes. The kites packages are 4 feet long and 1/2 inch thick. They came in 5 foot X 3 foot boxes and they wonder why shipping on other stuff is so high. I think the paper they put in to take up room weighted more than the kite.

We ordered a Wii Mario game, and it came yesterday in a box about 5 feet long and a few inches thick. When the delivery came, I thought I was going crazy and must have forgotten something I ordered because of the shape/size of the box. I pulled out tons of paper, and there in the bottom corner was my tiny little game. Don't know what they were thinking when they packaged it lol. :confused:

My theory on the packaging is that they do that to discourage theft. It's easier from someone to take a 4 x 6 package and stuff it inside their jacket then to haul off a 5 foot long box! :D
