KC-Traderbear Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 Does anyone have this? I found one at Target for 1/2 price and it says it comes with a controller. Is that a basic ole Wii controller that can be used with other Wii games? We have 2 but I'd like a 3rd one. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51motkHweXL._SL500_AA280_.jpg So, if it's this: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/31Mxv09s5bL._SL500_AA280_.jpg ...then that's a pretty good deal cause the whole thing was 1/2 price... $35 I think? It's gotten pretty good reviews on Amazon and given that controllers alone are $40, it seems like a good deal, but then maybe I have it all wrong and am confused about exactly what is in this box. So, if anyone has it and can tell me before I open it, I would really appreciate it!!
racerfan Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 As far as I know it is a mat that comes with the game. The game uses a mat that they dance on.
civiclover88 Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 Below the Wii emblem on the package, it shows the "controller". It is, in fact, the mat that you dance on. For $35, this seems like a good deal for someone interested in this sort of thing.

Cause the girl in the picture on the box appears to be holding the normal hand held Wii controllers too.
jessifarr Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 It comes with the dance mat (that is a great price though and the game is really fun too!!)
brainfreeze Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 You may want the new one instead... http://g-ecx.images-amazon.com/images/G/01/videogames/detail-page/B002DC8GIG.05.lg.jpg http://www.amazon.com/Dance-Revolution-Hottest-Bundle-Nintendo-Wii/dp/B002DC8GIG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1261196914&sr=8-1 There is also a new one out. Amazon has DDRHP3 for $62.99. It's all about the songs. Check both song lists. Also if you have a balance board there is some integration in the new version. Also if you are new to the "sport" or have youngish children, the DDRHP3 has a dance school mode and a relax mode so you can learn a bit slower.

More than likely, the regular controllers she is holding control the upper body while the mat controls the lower body.

They probably expect that you already have a controller. I think you are right... in this package, they consider the mat to be the 'controller'. Thanks.
kbes3277 Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 Yes it is only the Mat that is included. For the game there are hand motions to do as well as the foot motions. (Many people find it easier to turn them off.) But this is why the girl on the box is holding them in her hand. 35$ is a good deal, although if you have more than one person plying you might want to invest in a extra dance mat. I got DDR3 for myself for x-mas for $45 on the B1G1 mess up Toys R' Us did:tongue1: I can't wait to play. I love the interactive games, and it is a great workout! Have fun with yours!
