hjc0209 Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 I know I've seen ideas for wrapping money on here before but now I can't find it. I have three children that I am giving money to and would like some fun ideas to wrap it instead of inside an envelope. Thanks
SuggaD Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 i like the fortune cookie boxes they sell at the dollar store
jendeere Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 For my high school graduation my boyfriends grandmother made me a beautiful quilt. When I opened it up $50 in ones went flying everywhere. I thought that was pretty clever of her. She also bought us those puzzle game things you have to get through the maze before you can have the cash, those are a cool idea too.
Kandy Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 I have wrapped money in with candy bars, in candy cane boxes. I have gift cards now wrapped with candy canes.
kjunea Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 I've had money wrapped in cleaned up tin cans before. I thought that was pretty novel. Looked like someone was giving me a can of beans when I opened it, until I noticed that the lid was fake. They had even put a baggie of marbles in it on top of the money to weight it down!
Marcster Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Make the money interesting too.... Money origami:http://members.cox.net/crandall11/money/
Reinholt1 Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Here is kind of an "old school" idea.....it wasn't that long ago that many Christmas decorations were made from paper. There are a few websites that are dedicated to showing the directions to these paper decorations. (It is amazing how many different ways there are to make paper chains....simple to do...clever....but we just don't "think" that way anymore because we don't decorate from scratch with paper anymore.) One of the many things they used to do was fold paper money into these little origami like ornaments for instance a small "christmas tree" can be made out of 3 or 4 one dollar bills. You can then stick in on your tree or in a card or "hide" in around your house as you decorate with these cute paper ornaments.
