Black Friday Service Project?

I just found out that a church I go to is planning a service project for the morning of Black Friday. They are planning on setting up tables at the local retailers and giving out hot chocolate. Giving out, not selling. The cup holder will have the information about the church's Christmas service.

 

I know this thread came up last year. Has anyone else done this in the past? Have you run into any problems?

It will probably depend on your local (county level or township level) laws and regulations regarding food & beverage service.

 

Your church should look into if a permit is required to do that...

Exactly what I was going to say. Starbucks did that last year here in Louisville at the Summitt.

This will be the third year in a row that we go out and collect donations and give them to our local City Union Mission. We bring a generator and full size grill and give awary free food and if people would like they can make a donation to City Union Mission. I talked to the manager and our Best Buy this year is going to add to the funds. We were first in line last year at our Best Buy and hope to be first in line this year.
