nikkilugi
Hi. I got the Xbox from the Amazon lightning deal. I just got my promotional code today and am looking to buy a hard-drive to go along with the system for my boys. My son's are 10 and 9 years old. Originally I was thinking of getting the 60 GB Live hard drive combo for them off of Amazon for $90 but I was searching and saw today that they have a 20Gb refurbished XBox Live combo for $50. That would be cheaper for sure and I could probably buy them another controller on top with the code. My question is - would you buy a refurbished hard drive?? What would be the way you would go if you were buying? TIA!
guilliam
We bought ds19 a refurbished hard drive and never had a problem with it. You can find them on ebay for $29.99 and up. We paid $29.99 for his.
Perigee123
I bought a refurb 20G HD from Amazon for about 30 simoleons, and it's been working exactly as well as the 100-buck, out-of-the-plastic new one I had bought at Gamestop - and it's been better than six months. dmo727
It will probably be fine, but I myself would probably not buy one. I just think of the disastrous result of losing all of your save game and other data from a hard drive if something ever went wrong. Just something to consider.
