Lvnlakers78 Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 Heres more info http://www.coinstar.com/us/html/2009Promo
mesarobins Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 Yeah! Did this last year and was hoping for a repeat this year, thanks OP!
miller205 Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 Wow it would be worth it to go out and buy $40 in quarters to get $10 free! Do the machines give out the plastic GC's or are they paper printed GC's?
Mikesgirl Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 Mine gave a printed paper with a code but it also depends on the store you select.. I do Amazon when I cash my change in.. HTH
miller205 Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 Thanks Mikesgirl. Well, mainly I would be interested in Itunes and Starbucks and giving those as gifts it would be nice to give the GC. If anyone knows about those I would appreciate the feedback.
Mikesgirl Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 According to the website it does do Itunes.. HTH
msharpsteen Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 Wow it would be worth it to go out and buy $40 in quarters to get $10 free! Do the machines give out the plastic GC's or are they paper printed GC's?That's exactly what I plan on doing! We spend a fortune at amazon year round-I might just have to stock up on gift cards...
jerseygurl Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 Receive the $10 gift card via mail. Allow 6–8 weeks for processing. If terms and conditions are not met, the $10 gift card will not be sent. Coinstar is not responsible for any claims lost, damaged, or delayed in transit.
madisonaurusrex Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 for those of you who have done this before, does it actually take 6-8 weeks to receive your $10 gift card?
mrscrafty Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 for those of you who have done this before, does it actually take 6-8 weeks to receive your $10 gift card?It did for me.
kbes3277 Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 The official rules says: "Limit 1 per name, address, or household." And does anyone know how much the charge is for using the machine? ---> Nevermind.. it's 8.9 cents on the dollar. Unless you change it into gift cards.
Venusaur Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 Great deal! I don't have $40 in coins, so I'm gonna go to the bank and exchange my bills for some coinage.
jade#1 Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 thanks now i know what im going to do with my coins get some extra cash out of them thanks again
kathyctts Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 i did this today for Lowe's GC. its a printed receipt that you give to the Lowe's cashier. At the bottom there is an order form to tear off and mail in, I guess coinstar gives you the $10? Anyone know if its a Visa/MC gift card I hate those generic ones they are impossible to use anywhere!
cbtlab Posted November 19, 2009 Posted November 19, 2009 You arent really getting 10.00 back as you have to spend the money to count the change so you are really just pretty much breaking even and ha!ving to wait 6-8 weeks for your card. Please correct me if I'm wrong
ssydjen Posted November 19, 2009 Posted November 19, 2009 You arent really getting 10.00 back as you have to spend the money to count the change so you are really just pretty much breaking even and ha!ving to wait 6-8 weeks for your card. Please correct me if I'm wrongI think if you get it on a gift card it doesn't cost anything. They only charge you when you get cash back.
brithug00 Posted November 19, 2009 Posted November 19, 2009 yes, thats the point, they ONly charge, if you get cash for your coins, if you get giftcards there is NO charge for counting your change plus they are offering an extra 10 dollar bonus.
alexac Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 Yeah, I did it and got an Old Navy gift card..Was going there anyway and Coinstar did not charge me at all. It spit out a regular ON gift card with $40 on it. I went to ON and used it with my 30% off coupon and saved lots of $.. On the bottom of the coinstar receipt is the rebate form you have to mail in, and says something about it taking 6 to 8 weeks.
