sweetdiggity
http://www.gottadeal.com/images/ddd40.gif Just got this email from them.... November 13th marks the beginning of a 40% OFF MEGA SALE at DeepDiscount.com for DVDs and Blu-rays. This promotion has been running 2x a year for several years and has an enormous draw. DeepDiscount will be launching a national marketing campaign to coincide with the launch of the sale. Unlike in past years, no promotion code will be needed and we will be extending our Mega Sale throughout our entire site. All music will be 30% off, books 30%, UMDs 40%, Up to 70% on Video games, 40% on Media Storage units, fragrances 10%, and 70% off on other fun stuff on our site. This is going to be great. I'm gonna rack up some huge savings...and Christmas gifts. :)
Brad
Wow, nice. Considering the discount is higher this year, I hope they don't jack up prices when the sale starts to make up for it...
ourhappyfamily4
Sounds good, can't wait to see what they will have on sale as far as games and dvd movies. Thanks for posting!

sweetdiggity
I've been checking prices for things I want to buy, and hope they don't change before the sale starts. lol When they do this big sale, does it apply to season sets also? I don't remember. If it does, I'm gonna get the new Clone Wars Season 1 for only $21! Awesome present for my little brother. Hope they have some good sales on Wii games! :)
Brad
When they do this big sale, does it apply to season sets also? I don't remember. In the past, it was good on any in-stock (not preorder) DVDs including box sets.
civiclover88
If I remember last year, they didn't "up" their prices to compensate for the sale. However, last year it was only 25% off. The only thing about this site is the run out of stock QUICK. So order as soon as you can.

pinkroses4mommy
Thanks! I need to get some of the TV series sets for my kids and husband for Christmas. I was hoping someone would have a good sale! Didn't they do B1G1 last year around this time on some of the kids dvds? I bought Barbie movies for $6.99 B1G1, but I don't remember when it was. Does anyone know what time it starts on Friday?IIRC, with previous sales the code started working the night before, but since they are not using coupon codes this time, it's hard to say. bpr
40% is GREAT! I hit this sale every year. The last sale back in Jun/Jul, was 25% off and I got Star Trek BD Collection for under $50 (and some othe good deals). The sale before that was 20% off. My only fear is like what Brad said; that they don't jack up their prices. It seems lately, their prices haven't been that great. I've found better deals at Amazon and other places. I wouldn't be suprised if some items get jacked up a little or maybe it will be off of the SRP instead of their normal prices (40% seems extreme). We will see. iluvwalmart
Sure when I really should not be spending much money then they go all hog wild & do 40%... Man I don't even know if I should tell hubby about this. LMAO

Considering the discount is higher this year, I hope they don't jack up prices when the sale starts to make up for it...Heh, in the past at least, they've always jacked up the prices for the sale. With the %% off, it still comes out cheaper than almost anywhere else tho.
mahyar1
fine print says off MSRP. not a good deal http://www.carhidlights.com/products/selectProduct Edited September 11, 2011 by mahyar1
luvadeal46
That is what I was wondering..... I really wanted to get the gilligan's island set for dh and their price is normally around $55. The msrp is over $100 so I guess I will wait and see... However I will check it out because you never know...
civiclover88
Alright, I used the movie "Heat" BD for this example. The MSRP is $28.95 40% of $28.95 is $11.58 $28.95-$11.58=$17.37 Right now the movie is being sold at their "everyday low price" of $22.23. Savings of $4.86. To find the % off of their "everyday low price" $4.86 divided by $22.23= 21.8% off their "everyday low price". Not a OMG amount of savings but it is a savings. Honestly, just give me the 25% off their price. That would be a better deal.

In your example above, the final price of $17.37 divided by the everyday low price of $22.23 is 78.14%. That means that we actually get a savings of 21.86% off their everyday price (100%-78.14=21.86%). It looks like last year's deal of 25% off their low price was a better deal in your example. 3cuties4me
I am looking to get the full series of Full House. Going by MSRP though it would be cheaper for me to buy it now at the 'everyday low price' of $95 instead of getting 40% off the MSRP of $165. iluvwalmart
Well shoot if there doing it like that then screw it. I don't think they will get tons of orders if that is the case. I guess I should have known this deal was too good to be true. Now I don't feel so bad for not having the money to buy. LOL

sweetdiggity
I'll still check... just to make sure .Same here!If this is the case, then I can get Star Wars The Clone Wars season 1 cheaper at Walmart. So, I'm waiting to see. I wish the 40% would be off of their price.
