Walmart Sharp TV sale from 11/7

So we got up bright and early for the Walmart sale this morning. We wanted the Sharp 42" LCD. My husband was 3rd in line, waited for an hour while they checked the stock room for the item. Then at 8:00am they were told the store never received any. Of course there was an uproar so the manager pulled my husband aside and offered the Vizio for the same price. Not sure how good of a deal it is though. Normally a $650 tv. Anyone have any info?

I have a Sony. But we went to a friends house that has a Vizio and it had an amazing picture and he is very happy with it. I would buy one. I would probably go for Vizio over Sharp.

My parents have a Vizio 37" TV and they like it.

I like it but changing the channels are kinda slow.

I would say you got a good deal.

I have had my Vizio for 2 years and I love it! It's great for gaming, tv & movies. Blu Ray looks great:D

Thanks everyone. It is very hard to do research on one model and then have it switched at the last minute. I am so glad to hear such great reviews.

Check Walmarts return policy. Thery are usually very liberal. You may be able to try it & if you don't like it return it!

Forget to mention. Does the Visio you bought have the same specs?? Size, 70, 90, 120HTZ, 1080i or 1080p etc. It's hard to compare something with out knowing if the standards are the same. You can do a model comparison online.

The Vizio has the same specs at the Sharp. 1080, LCD, HDTV, 42". I was mainly concerned with it being LCD and not plasma. Our other tv is a plasma and the burn in is terrible. We have the Wii and it never gets used because of that. Wanted to make sure it was a LCD for the gaming.

We have 3 vizios and one sharp LCD TV. None of them have the screen burn, and we have had one of the vizios for about 5 years. I think the picture is much better on the Vizio as compared to the Sharp. JMHO!
