stacya
yeah, for those specific 25 stores, there is even more of a reason now to be in the first 50Exactly...they'll start lining up on Monday now, LOL!
dad2trips
The closest store for me is 27 miles on Google maps. I guess if I win I will have to meet the limo 7 miles from my house. Too bad they don't do the gift card thing at every store. I can't see going an extra 25 miles to line up just to maybe win a $5 gift card. Best of luck to everyone! If you won last year tell us your story.

NeepNeep
This only works for me if the limo takes me to all the *rest* of the stores I need to shop on BF... Guess BB opening time will be 5am, as the contest winners get to go in at 4:30am. Was wondering if they'd be opening earlier as some of the other stores are. bigjimslade
This was on the press release. Media Opportunities on Black Friday Black Friday presents an exciting morning for shoppers. Deal seekers often line up hours and days in advance to get a shot at our hot doorbusters. Employees take pride in providing an organized, exciting experience by helping people waiting in line that morning with advice on shopping strategies and gift buying tips. Media are invited to get footage of customers waiting in line to shop speak with customers about their shopping lists and holiday shopping traditions or interview Best Buy Blue Shirt™ employees about how they prepare for 'the busiest shopping days of the year.' In addition, media will have an opportunity to interview all of our VIP winners about the contest and why they are excited about this holiday season. tinkrbel
I entered, but if I don't win won't bother w/the extra milage to hit that store in hopes of getting a worthwhile gift card.

jennie_bebe
BTW...some of the example winners from last year had lame stories IMO...it gives me a little more hope for this year!
JBracken25
I Just entered myself to win, I'm also 27 miles away so I wonder if they pick you up. I wrote a legit story since I am leading a huge Charity Campaign for the National Down Syndrome Society, so this would be awesome for me! Our plan was to auction something really cool off for Christmas and donate the money to NDSS! But, I will also be getting my 40" TV. Now I wonder if they would drive you back home with a big TV.... hmm.
mamapenguin
In the rules it says you are responsible for the extra transportation to the 20 mile away max pick up point. So I guess you drive 7 miles & they pick you up LOL :) I'm about the same distance from my store too. Good luck. I'm going to enter again this year too. JBracken25
LOL! So I'll be taking the train down at 2AM, from the bronx. Scary. And I wonder how I will get the TV back? I might have to leave it at a friends apartment and come pick it up in my car.
beer980
I entered as well. If I don't win then this will be the first time in five years I have missed being in line. My wife has has some medical issues and can't find a job after I got transfered half way across the country so we have very limited income. Right now we have told our daughter not to expect anything special for the holidays until my wife can start making money again. Good luck to all that enter. lilac100
I'm working on mine. I don't want it to sound like a sob story but standing in line isn't going to work for me this year (the walker wouldn't go over well). It would be so awesome to win this, of course I would have to drive a ways to get to the city but I think it would be worth it.

bigjimslade
From what I understand and what happened last year is you are only limited to 4 ticketed items. What if you wanted more? You are out of luck. For me who is in line I get all of the ticketed items I want. If I wanted a TV, GPS, Laptop, Desktop, Digital Camera, Video camera and other I can. No limits. If you ride in the limo you are limited. While you are in the store 30min early I am getting all the tickets I want. In the press release from BB it says: "This contest is another way we can recognize the importance of this tradition, and give some customers a truly special experience.”For me the experience is the friends I have made in line, camping out, roller blades in the empty parking lot, Thanksgiving Day dinner in the parking lot that my parents make for my group of 40, no sleep, being interviewed by the media, telling stupid people who drive up and asking what is going on that there is free porn giveaway. I see no experience in going in a limo. That is just me. I dont mean to make people mad or fight with people about this but it is just me.

If I go out it's gotta be nice and easy. I'm still using a walker from the back surgery I'm hoping to not have to use it by then but I'm still gonna have to be careful. For me this would be perfect. At least I would get 4 doorbusters.

civiclover88
I would raise holy hell if BB stated to me "You can only grab 4 ticketed items". I can see your point if that's the case. Also, an Insignia camcorder; Is it gonna last till I get home? Probably not. I know that if I won, I would still go, just for the experience, but have my wife buy another four items for us. HAHA! dad2trips
I hear you Big Jim! If I were to win I would take the $1000 gift card and forgoe the limo ride and early in. I too still prefer the thrill of the campout. Besides, my buddies would be pissed at me if I told them on November 24th that I won and was NOT camping out! Speaking of camping out... bought a turkey last night and plan to deep fry it in BB parking lot. Probably not something that BB would endorse though. Debating if I should clear it with the manager or just do it under the radar - but outside the tent! Last year he told me no open flames were allowed, but then again no tents are really allowed either. Worst case I put it in the oven at home and pop out to pick it up - less than 3 mile drive.
