From what I've read, the layaway is only available in stores on large gift items (bikes, outdoor toys, etc.). It requires a $10 fee and 20% down payment.

 

Not so much of a help if you ask me.

Didn't know that... I was in the electronics department the other day. This lady in front of me had TONS of items. Both toys and electronics. She was in front of me at the checkout counter. Of course I was in hearing distance when the lady asked where the layaway department was at. The employee said they didn't have layaway anymore! The lady asked for the manager and the manager said the same thing. Lady said she got an email about it. Manager said she must have been misinformed and this location isn't doing any sort of layaway.

 

 

So I would call your local TRU.
