  1. Tried to order this, but it's unavailable for pickup at any of my local Best Buys... Didn't want to spend extra $70 on delivery or drive to Eau Claire, WI, (236 miles away) to get it in-store. Hopefully, Amazon will come up with a similar TV with free shippping...
  2. Out of stock at 9:30 am. (Central time) Don't forget, though, there's a $150 mail-in rebate in addition to the $150 instant rebate, so the up-front cost is $449, not $299.
  3. Ooohh, a Thomas the Tank Engine railway, normally $49.99, on sale for $44.00. What an unbelievable deal.
  4. Nothing really so shocking that would encourage me to camp out overnight for. Where's the $200 no-rebate laptop? I suspect that there will be another supplemental flyer with a few extra-extra good bargains at a later time...
  5. This is the EXACT same television C.C. was offering on Black Friday last (day after) Thanksgiving.
  6. They were really pushing the $50 and $170 "protection packages" which seemed to consist of a surge protector, HDMI cable, and LCD cleaner. You can use a decent surge protector for $15-$20, bottle of eyeglass cleaner for $3, and a HDMI cable from eBay for $10-15. what a rip-off. Yet there were people buying the things, even the more expensive ones. The staff was making it seem like that if you just plugged the TV into the wall it would immediately blow itself up.
  7. Camped out at CC after the line at BB was crazy long at 9:30 the night before. WORST experience ever. No crowd control or barrier to keep the lurkers out for 5:00 am opening. After they handed out the claim tickets for the three items, I did NOT see a store employee outside. If you were interested in secondary items (those to be had without a claim ticket) you could have showed up at 4:55 and gotten into the store before those who were there patiently in line most of the night. Was ready to check out 5:15; stood in line for 2.5 HOURS. I would guess that the employees were told that if anybody complained, don't agree with the complainer or try to fix anything, just don't say anything, which makes the employee look like a retard (or me feel like a retard) when you complain about the lurkers or the hours-long wait and they pretend they didn't hear you. A simple acknowledgement of the many problems or apology for their mismanagement would've diffused people's anger and frustration. I had people in line with me who went to BB first, got stuff at BB, drove to CC, (five miles) got what they wanted at CC and got in line with me. NEVER AGAIN WILL I BLACK FRIDAY AT CIRCUIT CITY AGAIN. The only way a person could have a positive experience is if they elbowed a lurker in the face and were in a checkout line at 5:03 am.
