I like The Grinch and the Charlie Brown Christmas one :) Never really was into Frosty or Rudolfo though.

No idea if they have it this year (worth checking out) but in stores last year, Walmart had a prelit, I believe it was 6' for $30. I almost bought it but ended up with this one instead:

If you can and you are planning on going with a fake tree, I highly recommend prelit! Makes life so much easier! lol

I don't think it was walmarts, cause our walmarts layaway is gonna be open. But you have to have it out by 12/09. Thats when they clean out layaway bins to get rid of stuff people wont pick up. Thats a good time to check for any bf items that are cancelled out of layaway most will still ring up for the bf price..
I just did a Christmas layaway at Walmart yesterday. My slip says I have until 12/15 to pick it up. I think the date it has to be out varies by store/state.

Walgreens is going to have a 6 Foot Prelit Christmas Tree for $19.99 on BF. Not sure what it looks like because I don't *think* we have the Walgreens scans yet (unless I missed it?)

I'll get my WM ad next Wed. There is a free local paper here that gets delivered and the WM ad always come with that.
Anyway, I don't know if it works this way for the BF ad but worth checking out- the WM ad is usually posted on their site when it first comes out. Not as good as having it in hand but could be useful to verify what will be on sale at your local WM.

I get my kids the same amount of gifts. It doesn't always come to the same amount of money though as one may want something that cost more then the other.

I may not be going after all (although I am hoping to do some shopping online even if I don't get to go out If I do get to go, it won't be until after 7 in the morning so no chance of me getting the really great deals anyway) BUT, like you, I am here to enjoy all the great posts and wonderful people. So glad I found this site :)

I think the members (including Brad & Ross, of course) are the reason I like this place so much.
The BF ads and the online/offline deals are just fringe benefits.
I agree completely :)

Brad...we have been waiting so very patiently...please...please...pretty please...with sugar on top and honey on the bottom can we have the target ad now???
Its been posted :)

Yup, I'm hooked. They are going to have to kick me out to get me to leave lol
-
Uhm.. that hammering sound is me hitting reload. You can go ahead and post it now. I'll stop!
LOL

The ad items will be posted this afternoon. We are getting hammered with traffic right now so I want to wait a couple hours to let things die down a little before posting them, so just be patient.
Alright, everyone get off the site so the man can post! lol

Thanks for the heads up! I am headed there tomorrow for those Wallflowers :) I JUST got in the mail a coupon from them similar to the one you got except mine says: "Free Product of Your Choice (Up to a $12.50 Value) with ANY store purchase". Doesn't say I have to spend $20 to use it- YAY!
Edit: Just looked at the coupon again, guess I will be holding onto this one until BF. Valid 11/21/05 through 12/18/05!

Yup! :)

I wouldn't mind having a white Christmas :)

I am never done until the day we exchange gifts! lol Even if everyone is crossed off my list I will always find something "extra" that I end up picking up.

Ok am I just not seeing the doodle bears for $5 on there? Its been a rough morning so it could just be me but I only see them for $14.97. Am I looking in the right spot? My kids have been begging for these silly things and for $5 they just might get them!
Vicki
I *think* they meant Care Bears. The title of the thread says Doodle Bears but then in the post they mention Care Bears :)

Found a link to the song Dominic the Christmas Donkey
It plays in RealPlayer:

I don't use any services of anything like that, I just won't place a bid until the final seconds of the auction ending.

A Nintendo lol. I was probably 5 or 6 when those came out. Everyone I knew had one but me. My parents kept telling me we couldn't afford it, I was so bummed. However, guess what I got that Christmas? My Nintendo! Come to find out they went to Service Merchandise (no longer in business) on Christmas Eve no less and bought the very last one they had. I was in heaven that year lol.

$5 is a great deal
Yes it is. I believe it includes a DVD as well at that price. How can you beat that?

Ditto what Mommie2one said. Also, if you do see something you really want, make sure you get to the store EARLY, like before they even open. People will camp out in front of the stores for hours just so they can get what they came for :)
Does Walmart give rainchecks?
