I went to our K-Mart this weekend and got 5 Trackmaster Thomas the Train engines (1 engine with a car plus 2 pieces of track) for $5.00 orig. $9.99 and a Thomas the Train Tidmouth Shed set (HUGE SET) clearanced out to $25.00 orig $49.99. I also found NASCAR Leapster L-Max clearanced to $18 orig 29.99 but then had a $4 coupon making it $14. And DRUMROLL PLEASE.... the buy of the day was a Leapster Batman game on clearance for $5 orig 19.99 (?) minus the $4 coupon for a GRAND TOTAL of $1.00!! I was SO EXICTED!! I saved almost $85.00!!

I just wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone that posted about the monkey/jungle items in the Dollar Spot area. I make the 1 1/2 trip on Saturday and came home with 2 monkey pillows, 2 monkey rugs, a monkey sign, and a monkey bank. All for $15.00. Now I will just have to watch and see when they clearance these items out. LOL I didn't really find any clearance per say. I did get the 12 packs of pop 4/10 plus the $1/2 coupon making them $2.00 a pack though.

Thanks for answering. Yes two of the places are 1 1/2 hours away while the other is right around an hour to get there. So I just ask if their store has any monkey/jungle bedroom/bathroom items in their Dollar Spot... CORRECT???

I have a question....Are all Dollar Spots the same at Targets across the US? The reason I am asking is you guys had reported seeing Monkey/Jungle items in the dollar spot area for $2.50. Well my sister in law looked for me in Sioux Falls, SD (bigger city around here), and she said they didn't have any monkey decor anywhere in the store. I am thinking about making a trip to one of my area Targets (Mason City IA, Sioux City, IA, or Fort Dodge, IA) looking specifically for these monkey items and don't want to be disappointed if they don't have any. Would you just call ahead and ask if these items were in their Dollar Spot (That is what it is called right?) area? Thanks so much!!

Well that sounds awesome as we just did my son's room in lime green and bright blue. LOL Now I really want to go... just hate the hour drive!!

I know this is asking a lot but if someone has a camera phone in which they can download pics to the computer, I would love for someone to take a picture of the monkey/jungle dollar spot stuff or if you have bought or are going to buy some for yourself. I have a question.. we are remodeling my son's room and the new theme is monkey/surf/jungle. Someone told me that Target has some monkey/jungle stuff in their $1/$2.50 area. I was wondering if they were referring to the Dollar Spot? Also can anyone confirm this? If so, was it extremely cute? I live an hour away from the nearest Target so I would like to know before I make the trip all the way there... THANKS!!

I sent my mom to Target since she was going to be taking my uncle to a doctor's appointment and this is what she picked up. Thomas Pull Back Engine (2... one with eggs and one with a bunny) $2.50 each Mr. Potato Head.... $2.49 We were on the hunt for the PlayDoh Spring Basket orginally $14.99... has anyone found any of these on clearance? We also were looking for the large Potato Head basket but didn't find one of those either. My mom said the same thing about the candy. That there was none really left to be had. Oh well. I am starting my diet today anyway.. LOL

On a happier note, I did find 2 MM juices apple and an oil filled heater for $19.99 (orginally $35.XX). I was very happy to see the Leapster games were Buy Two Get One Free. I picked up [email protected] and [email protected]. I also used a printable Leapster coupon ($4 off each one) as well as the $5.00 toy coupon. So I essentially got 79.77 worth of games for $37.88 (plus tax) making them 12.62 a piece!!

I unfortunately did not find a Photokinz at my Target today... So if anyone would be willing to look for a MONKEY for me or has a MONKEY that they would be able to part with, I would be willing to pay for it plus shipping. Please PM me regarding this. Thanks a Million!! You guys are wonderful!!

I was just wondering if anyone had seen one on clearance as I had only been seeing people post about tiger, penguin, frog, etc. I didn't think I had heard of a monkey but now you give me hope as I am going to my nearest Target tomorrow (1 hour away)!! BUT... if anyone does run across a MONKEY photokin, I would LOVE one!! I would pay for the item plus shipping!! THANKS A MILLION!! Okay someone may have already posted it and I missed it, but has anyone found any MONKEY photokins? We just started to remodel my son's room, and his theme is like surf monkey (we got the DYR Surf Monkey quilt from Target that we absolutely love... unfortunately we didn't get any accessories ) and would love to get him a photokins monkey as he LOVES to look at the pics of my cell phone so I think he would love this. Okay so I also had a problem with our Leapster L-max that my son got for Christmas. The CS rep told me to just send the unit. Not even to include the cord that came with it or anything. She made sure to note that I should get some sort of tracking number on it also. Well I also called and was told they were backordered and told it would ship on March 3rd. Well I called later on that week to see, the lady tried to tell me that it was still backordered. I said that I was told it was shipping on the 3rd. She then gave me a tracking number and would not even tell me when it shipped. Well I typed the tracking number in on the UPS website and it came back something like the package had been requested on the 15th of February. Well I called UPS to see what this meant, and she said it meant that they printed a shipping label but then never supplied the package to UPS to be delivered. She then told me to contact the shipper. Well I then contacted Leapfrog and told them this. They stated that it would be sent and I would recieve it within 10 to 15 business days. Then magically the tracking number was active, and I recieved it within like 7 days I believe. While I don't believe this was handled the greatest, at least they do stand behind their product. I am sorry that you weren't informed to not send anything else in. They clearly spelled that out for me, even going to the point to ask me what accessories I had and what I specifically needed to send in. As far as AA rechargables, they are not recommended as the L-Max alerts you when the battery is starting to go dead. Apparently even when fully charged the rechargables are not as stroing as a regular battery and will set off the alarm thus causing more of an annoyance than an actual functional issue I believe (although I would hate to sit there and listen to it beep all day while knowing full well the battery was fine). And finally as far the protective cover, I was told the same things you were but then finally got the answer that they designed the new L-max a little different and thus the old covers would not fit. They are expecting these to arrive in about 3 months at which time I was told to call back and request one free of charge. Hope that all helps!! Sorry for your terrible experiance!!

Thanks for the heads up on the Playdoh. My son suprisingly does very well with it. We play with it at least 3 or 4 times a week if not daily so I am always on the lookout for new sets. I will definately look into this. Thanks!! :)

I LOVE to get my son books, coloring books, puzzles, and now workbooks there. Lots of times you can get a whole series of books (he is 3) for what it would cost for 1 book somewhere else. I have found that the coloring books and now workbooks are a great deal as they are usually $3 to $4 a book everywhere else. Another thing I stock up on there is plastic baskets and plastic carrying caddies as I use them to store my son's toys on shelves. They are nice and colorful with many different colors to choose from which match his playroom quite nicely. Plus it is nice to use different colors so he knows what toy goes in what colored basket or caddy. Just a tip.... Ours is a smaller store so when I go to large cities I am in heaven as they have many more isles and many more deals!!

I was so excited to get 2 MM Apple juices yesterday. I really had to dig but I found them!!
