Yay!! Glad I could help someone. I went to get it today and expected to pay the $44.99 which is a little higher than WalMart will have it Black THURSDAY night, but it was going to save me from that crowd. When it rang up even lower, I was sooo pleasantly surprised! To top it off, my boys saw it in WalMart tonight and I acted all shocked that it was $75 and told them I just didn't know if that was going to happen this year. ;-) Bwahahahahaha!

From what I understand, the Giants figures work with the original portal...as long as you have the new Giants game. Hope this helps! My poor sons spent their "own money" to buy a cool new Giants figure without thinking about the fact that they don't have the new game yet. They were broken hearted. LOL

I got one too! DS5 is going to be thrilled Christmas morning. His brother had already warned him that a $70 video game was probably not going to happen. To make the deal even better, I used an Amazon credit for $25 from a DSi bundle last Christmas...so only &24.99 for it!!

One more I forgot to add...they had individual Disney Cars cars for $0.50, reg $4.98. No girls in my family, so I didn't look for girly Christmas items. I did scan some Christmas books, but they were all full price.

Just came from Toys R Us in Jackson, MS. They have a section at the front of the store that says Christmas items are 90% off. Didn't see anything I needed there, but found things throughout the store that were a steal! I see that someone already posted the small Lego snowmen for $0.40, reg $3.99. I got several of those. I also found: GeoTrax Christmas train set for $1.00, reg $9.98 Disney Cars Mater Saves Christmas -- three Christmas themed cars for $2.00, reg $19.99 Each of these items was marked full price, but scanned at 90% off. A super nice man gave me the LAST Buzz Lightyear U-Command in Toys R Us. This was the ONLY item on my list for the entire night/morning that I would have been upset about missing. DS4 loves Buzz and is really wanting this...but there is no way I would pay $80 for it and it's a Toys R Us exclusive, so Amazon doesn't carry it directly. TRU was my only hope! LOL We stood in the cold rain for 3 hours just to get into the store. I walked the perimeter of the store looking for the Buzz display and finally ended at the regular location of the Toy Story toys. There were ZERO on the shelf. A TRU employee was nearby so I asked him where they were. He pointed to the empty shelf (not much space was empty) and said, "This man just got the last one...but I'll go look in the store room and see if we have more." I nodded eagerly and said in my sweetest, most begging voice, "I'll wait RIGHT HERE." I waited, and looked around that aisle. Then the coolest thing happened...the man with the LAST BUZZ said, "I'm not really sure this is what I need. You can have it." And he helped me put it in my big plastic bag. It was great...I thanked him several times. Then hung out around that area for a while...never saw the employee come back with another Buzz.

Order shows as shipped. I also requested the strategy guide instead of the nunchuk. Hopefully that is what I will get, but either one will be fine. Also, my debit card has been refunded the full amount including shipping ... even though he told me that it would be a check with the strategy guide.

Of course it's a gamble, but Amazon.com matched the 12.99 price from Target's sale last year. That's where I ended up getting mine because in my "scouting expeditions," my Target store only had a couple of the season I was trying to get. I'm hoping to get Season 4 on Amazon this year!

I don't usually shop Kohl's either, but I went in on a whim yesterday. And boy was I glad that I did!! DS2 really likes the preschool shows - Diego, Handy Manny, and Wonder Pets. They had these toys on sale for 35% off with an additional 20% off of that. I was able to get several of the toys on his list for super cheap (those small toys that NEVER go on sale). For example, Diego's Click the Camera (12.99) was 6.75, 3-pack Wonder Pets figures (7.99) for 4.15, Handy Manny small sets (7.99) for 4.15. The deal of the day for me was a Handy Manny singing toolbox with bonus toolbelt and three tools. It was a Kohl's exclusive, but the singing toolbox alone is going for 27.99 at Walmart, Target, etc. It was marked 39.99, on sale for 19.99, and then 20% off for final price of 15.99!! I was one happy Momma and DS2 will be one happy boy come Christmas time! I can't answer your question about BF shopping because I can't stand the lines in Kohl's on a regular sale day, so there's no way I would enter the store on BF!

Yippee for you! I'm with you! We are "adopting" a family of 4 kids for Christmas, so I am super excited to see these cheap coats! I checked them out tonight while doing the grocery shopping and they are really nice designs. DS7 wants the camo one.

We have had our Leapster since they first hit the shelves. It has gone through my two boys (and two nephews and friends when they visit)...so a LOT of play and not always gentle! It is still working fine! No problems at all with the screeen. So if durability is your only concern, save your money and get the $25 original version.

I just got back from Target. I was strolling through the toy section when I saw Kota the Triceratops for $239.xx. It was $298.xx at another local Target this morning. (Had to get some of the Halloween clearance from both stores today!! ) I had been considering Kota for my boys for Christmas, but talked myself out of it. It was super tough to not put that huge box in my buggy so I called my mom and my husband to talk me out of it. My mom wasn't sure what I was even talking about so she looked it up online....and found that it was also $239 on Amazon.com right now. So.....if you're in the market for it, grab one now! I don't see how they will go any lower before Christmas. I really didn't expect a price break that high so soon since they just hit stores a couple weeks ago. See update below for $199 price!

I'm looking for a digital video camera. I'm finally going to upgrade from the one I got when DS7 was born! I'm having trouble finding the tapes to record on...LOL Any recommendations on good brands, specific things to look for when buying, etc? I will be buying this for myself for Christmas...and putting the DH and 2 DS's as the FROM. I'm clueless about them so any information you can share to make my decision a smart one, I will really appreciate!
