Our Walgreens today was looking VERY bare and that was at 11:00 this morning!

I had to ask the girl in cosmetics. It ended up being in a small display area that I would have walked right past. There were probably only about 3-4 of each color. On the MO side I couldn't find them but here in IL, I lucked out and they had a bunch left.

Here on the IL side, GB is 50% off.

Q = $2.99 (orig. $6.49) Maybelline Volume XL Lip Plumpler- $8.49 - $2 MFR Q - $5.99 Mail-in Rebate = $0.50 Glade Glass Scents - 2/$5 - $2 Mail-in rebate = 2/$3 (Also applies to Candle, Wisp Refills, scented oil refills or plug-in oil refills- I didn't have a coupon for the glass scents but I think there are coupons out there for the other stuff) Anyway, thought I'd share!

I get that too when I have a whole stack of coupons...even my husband will be shaking his head until he realizes how much we save then it's a whole different story

They also have Cereal again this week as part of the register rewards program. I got 3 boxes of Fiber One: 3 boxes/ $7 - 3/ $0.75 Mfr. Coupons = 3/$4.75 + $2 Register Rewards. This deal also good for Cheerios, Honey Nut Cheerios and Lucky Charms.

This week at Walgreen's, the Aquafresh Extreme Clean toothpaste is $1.99....you can print $1.50 coupons off at the Aquafresh website to get it for $0.49 a tube :)

The closest I have ever gotten are those green tag clearance items. Those are 75% off of the green tag reduced price. We have gotten a coat at like 85% off this way.

Greenmount Rd. had curtain rods and curtains 50%. Most baby stuff is gone. They did have a ton of Tide and other cleaning stuff 30-50%. I got the Mr. Clean erasers for $1 after the $0.50 Mfr. Coupon. Also, they had 2 packs of Colgate Total for $2.50 - $1.50 MFR = $1 for 2 big tubes :)

15 and Frank Scott was pretty much cleaned out of clearance minus linens at 30%. I did find a Bissell Turbo Sweep stick vacuum for $19.98 (orig. $39.99). DCPI: 072-07-0034

Make sure you ask an employee if they have any in the back. This happens here and it never fails that they go in the back and bring out a whole box of what I am looking for !!!! I did this a couple of weeks ago when they had 6 packs of toddler toothbrushes for a dollar. My local stores were all out but I went to one on the MO side, the guy went in the back and pulled out 2 boxes of them. He said he just hadn't had a chance to put them out and asked if I was looking for anything else he might have in the back. Anyway, it can't hurt :)

This is what we used and had no problem. Printed out 2 of the $2 off 1 box of chocolate clusters and used it on the regular flavor. Plus, I think it was 2 sunday's ago had a coupon in the paper for $1 off 2 boxes of post cereal.

At the end of the receipt it prints out an extra slip that says $4 off your next purchase. On your next purchase you just hand them that slip and they take off the $4.

Just wanted to share.... Bought 4 boxes of Honey Bunches of Oats Cereal 4/ $10 - 2/$2 & 1/$1 MFR Coupons = 4/$5 + you get $4 back in register rewards :) GREAT DEAL

We did an afternoon wedding and served appetizers (got all the food at Costco) and cake. We spent the most $$ on the location (a horse ranch in Washington) and even that was only $500 but AWESOME scenery and pics. We had our cake made by a "little old grandma" who made cakes out of her house and charged very reasonably (3 tier, fed 100 for $100) for exactly what we wanted. She and her husband delivered the cake and stayed to enjoy the wedding. It was THE BEST cake we've ever had in our lives and to this day everyone still talks about that cake :) Anyway, moral of the story...you can find great deals off the beaten path :) Final suggestion....disposable camera's. Found great sales throughout the year and put them on the tables for the guests. Some of the best pictures we got were from those cameras (like my 13 yr. old BIL posing James Bond stlye with my bridesmaids...completely oblivious... in the background!!!) Good luck :)

5 women were shot dead at a Lane Bryant across the street from a Target in Tinley Park, IL. Apparently they shut down the Target while police went in with guns to search for the guy who shot the women. Customers were herded to the front of the store while they searched and then after an hour were told to go home. Big news here in IL.

We got a great deal on silverware today. It was an internet return for $12 (orig. $69). We needed extra spoons (don't know how we go through so many) and forks and this was a whole set plus serving utensils !!!! It really pays to peruse :)

Boy..I hear ya!!! Nothing like a stain to ruin a full price shirt!!! Though as luck would have it, my 2.5 year old never stains or loses the cheap stuff :)

Ours in waterloo had the same old stuff that has been there since after Christmas. Clearance but still pretty high prices.
