  1. Springfield has about 16 feet of stuff. Not much at all. Some stocking stuffer things, stockings, some bows, some ornaments, Choxie, and such.

    Disney Store?

Does anyone know what the Disney Store is planning on doing for Black Friday? What do they normally do? This is my first year with my daughter being the age that the Disney Store will be a primary destination.
  3. Thank you! Will make it to ours tomorrow morning to check. Dangit and I wanted to check today but never got around to it...
  4. Oh I am so getting this! We have the backpack, but it doesn't hold everything well enough. Heck, I may get two since we have a First LeapPad too. THANK YOU!!!!
  5. I don't know if this is fraud necessarily, but it does run into an ethics debate. I do like the abiliy to return items, if I need to, that have been purchased with coupons. The ethics debate is when you intentionally set out to do this, and intentionally set out to do it tens of times. But anyway....
  6. I don't know how much time I'll have in the coming days to be online and to check this thread, so I just wanted to say a HUGE MERRY CHRISTMAS! To everyone. Thank you ALL for all of the wonderful cards! I have so enjoyed going to get the mail each and every day. They are so beautiful! And again, a heartfelt THANK YOU to my ornament exchange person. You are all a doll. My daughter points out the Tweety every day. Makes me smile. That is what Christmas is all about. Thank you Eve for organizing all of this. I am looking forward to participating again next year!
  7. I would like to have a crockpot main dish for a small get together and my brain is just not coming up with anything. I was thinking about ribs, but I think they may be too messy. Anyone have any tried and true, super yummy favorites to share?
  8. Okay, FP needs to start releasing the keys for this thing or I am going to get irked at them. The Disney keys need to be available seperately, so I don't have to waste money and landfill space on buyign an entirely new system.

    stocking stuffers

Heh, I do a tangerine in the toe of the stocking because that is what my Mom did. She still does actually. Still, to this day, my brother gives me his tangerine because he doesn't like them. Oh and old fashioned candy on the sticks? Lollipops, I guess. Shaped like stockings and trees and such. My mother did them, so I do. Weird.
  10. I received just the sweetest ornament in the mail today and want to thank them! It is an adorable Tweety ornament and I couldn't be more thrilled! I love Warner Bros, even have some a repro and real cel in my living room and yet, only a few Warner ornaments for the tree....none of them featuring Tweety! Thank you sooo very much! With it snowing tomorrow, turning to sleet, we may get our tree early in the morning and put it up in the afternoon. Can't wait to add this addition! Again, a heartfelt thank you! --Sam
  11. LOL at Old Lady! That sounds like something my DD3 would say! Thanks to everyone for the cards too, btw. They have all been so lovely and my daughter just adores taping them all to the door!
  12. I think a "Daddy Come Home" tree is a positively beautiful idea! I am sure there are lots of "Daddy Come Home" trees out there, whether they are decorated that way or not. Really beautiful job on that!
  13. Must go to post office to procure stamps... That is my mantra today!
  14. thanks, I was waiting for this
  15. Yeah, this year I need two. So I am in the same boat.... Just waiting...
  16. And the day starts off busy! Let us hope you remain busy today! Thanks Brad!
  17. I am so making that Gooey Pumpkin cake. I'm a pumpkin addict and I need more pumpkin recipes! Thank you! I had pumpkin oatmeal this morning with my pumpkin coffee. I'm a junkie, LOL.
  18. I'm watching the Quacker Factory home stuff now. I live like 20 minutes from QVC and I have never been there nor have I ever ordered from them online, but I watch all of the time. I'm such a whack. Especially around Christmas. I get so many ideas. I've heard the tour of the studio is great though. When DD is older we'll have to go through.
  19. Thanks for the scan. Will have to put the fleece blanket on my "to consider" list. Macy's is soooooo close and with that coupon, I just have to get *something* there!
  20. Oh that will probably happen. Wally World needs to learn to deal with the new reality. You can not "undo" the internet. Once it gets out there, it is out there. You may be able to strong arm websites, sadly, but once it is out there in a file, it can be transferred so quickly that there is no way of stopping it. They need to stop fighting the internet and work with it. Now they just look ridiculous and petty.
  21. I would love that brine recipe if you can find it!
  22. Heh, yep, that is how you do a tree. I did retail trees for years and you take each branch and wrap each branch in lights, hiding the cord. You can easily go through 200 lights a foot or more using that technique, but it makes a BEAUTIFUL tree. Now doing that on a live tree is really a challenge! I've done it on my live trees, but I just don't have the patience anymore. It takes a lot longer to do the lights using this method on a live tree. So I stopped and went back to my "old" way. My "old" way: Twinkle lights (not blinking!) running up the trunk of the tree. Then mini colored lights wrapped around every branch from the bottom til it starts to thin out. Then I wrap them around in circles, making sure there is at least two layers of lights per branch. I generally using 100-150 lights per foot using this method.
