I still say its not a bad deal. I'm not WOW'd (but that was last year's catch phrase), but its not bad.
I agree.... Last year the regular BF pc was $399 but the "secret sale" BF pc was $199. I am looking at this one for a cheap upgrade for mine and $299 aint that bad.

I believe the ad has some very good deals, but not on big ticket items. They got a good price on the Garmin 260w, some good movie deals, and some real cheap accessories. The latop deals are good as well. The people usually complaining about no good deals are the ones looking for a laptop under 300 dollars, or a name brand plasma for 600, but why waste print space for cheap junk that will sell out in minutes, when they can advertise products that they actually make some profit off of, like the laptop bundles.
Best Buy's print ads usually offer better quality products, and they tend to save all the blowout doorbuster deals for unadvertised specials listed on their website. It seemed to work last year, the lines were enormous at stores, I can't forget the Youtube videos from last November of the huge lines and pushing and shoving to get in the stores. Yet, last year everyone complained about Best Buy's ad up till the day before Thanksgiving.
It seems like a repeat is about to happen.
You work for Best Buy don't you....come one ADMIT IT!!!!!
Our lines were 200 plus strong. No pushing or shoving due to the ticket system, the fire code, and the police...it was simply get in and get out.

BestBuy - Compaq Dual Core Desktop w/ 1GB, 250GB, 17" LCD Monitor - 399.97 < This one from last BF had the Compaq brand name and was Core Duo. The one they are offering this year is $100 cheaper for 1 more gig of ram, more hd space, and a bigger lcd monitor, BUT you lose the name and processor speed. Seems like $299 might just be a pretty sweet deal on a desktop.

Best Buy does not do rebates, any manufacturer rebates are paid for by Best Buy on your behalf, so you get the savings instantly.
You don't get all your savings instantly and some rebates have to be sent in by you. I had to send in one from Best Buy for my free Vista upgrade. I had to send it to the Microsoft manufacturer, Best Buy did nothing but sell me the pc.

Not too crazy about the deals that were just posted. The only hope is that they do what they usually do which is post a few secret items the night before. That's where the usual $229 laptop and $199 desktop come in. They are never announced on the printed ads.
Do not dismay my fellow Best Buy Tent City Buyers, the best deals are still coming.
I want everything to be about $100 cheaper! I truely believe there will be another ad.

I wish they would come out with a Rockband Disney edition! that would be awesome for us. I preordered the rockband for wii from Amazon and was very disapointed when we got it...not really little kid friendly IMHO...they were going to charge us for restocking AND shipping if we returned it...so it's been under our piano ever since...have no idea what to do with the thing.
One word....EBAY.

Oddly enough it looks like you can buy that same desktop now for $199, unless I'm missing something. Doesn't look like it comes with wireless but you could grab a wireless usb adapter probably.
The BF one is 2gb memory and 320gb hard drive, and you get the 18" lcd monitor.

No Best Buy for me this year
They have nothing I want for the price that I would be willing to pay but hold out some hope they may have the secert sale at better prices that you can only see online, Thanksgiving Day or right around there.
The ad is so disappointing.... Hoping the secret sale will show up this year.

Not Impressed at all !! Does anybody else think that maybe this is just a ploy and that maybe they are gonna sweeten the deal as we get closer to BF? I mean seriously, the PS3 deal was weak compared to what Walmart did last weekend, the Toshiba laptop was nowhere near the two hundred mark and everything else was just horrible. I hope they make improvements because seriously I will not even be stopping there the way it is now.
Best Buy has been making it a habit of doing TWO ads. The regular one and then the one that can be viewed "online only" I sure hope they do that again this year. If not..looks like I am not going.

I was wondering about reviews on the camera as well. We purchased a diffrent Polaroid camera last year for my daughter and it was awful. My cousin had gotten the same exact Polaroid as well last year and had the same problems with it. So we are very leery of Polaroid cameras. So any reviews would be very helpful. Thanks.
I have had 2 digital Polaroid cameras and every one of them were crap. The only one I had that was worth anything ever was the Polaroid instant camera! I still use that one...
