  1. I am liking the 12am sale. I am not looking for any electronics, so I can get all the games, dvd's, and other goodies I want and be out of there in time to go somewhere else!
  2. Thank you for the advice! Sounds much more organized than the toys r' us I was at last year!! I may just head out there about 1 am and park myself in a camp chair lol. Thanks again! :)
  3. I have been shopping Black Friday for years, but I have never gone to Target for doorbusters. Any advice on how they run things that morning would be a great help. I am hoping to get the PSP bundle for my son and have no idea how early I should get there, if they let you hang out in the store etc. I need to make a plan. Thanks!
  4. Thank you everyone for the helpful replies. I feel much more assured now about my order. Knowing they are the same company makes me feel much better if not a little silly for worrying in the first place. I had searched and missed that. Thanks again all! =)
  5. Thanks for the reply. I may just follow your rule of thumb in the future! I ordered her a Wacom drawing tablet. I am hoping that this other company listed is just some sort of warehouse that ships for them. Keeping fingers crossed.
  6. I used Amazon for the first time (slow to get on the boat here) and I ordered a product from a merchant called The Factory Depot. They are listed in my amazon account as the merchant I purchased from and would be shipping my order. My confirmation email lists this merchant as well. Today I get a shipping email saying that my item has shipped from a company called Bright Light Business, inc. I am not sure if this is normal and I can't find anything that fits my situation in the help section at amazon to contact someone and ask. So is it normal for you to order from one and have it shipped from another? I made sure to read the reviews on the factory depot because this is my daughters 'big' gift and I have no clue who this other company is and can't find anything on them, so now I am worried about the quality and who I contact if I have any problems. I am not sure who I would even return the item to now if I do have a problem. Any guidance from seasoned amzon users would be a great help! Thanks =)
  7. Just got back from grabbing Buscuit for $99, daughter will be thrilled! Glad I didn't have to pay higher
  8. Doesn't surprise me. I had someone steal my COFFEE from 711 out of my cart last year.
  9. Thanks for the input, think I am going to go for that one. Says while supplies last but it's not an early bird special so hopefully I have a chance at it.
  10. Thanks for the info, and you're right OD is cheaper. Walmart seems comparable on the Toshiba though, which if it's a decent laptop would be great because I need to hit WM for alot of other things for the other kids. So maybe leaning towards that one. I will have to research it a bit.
  11. There are two on page 3. HP Pavilion 15.6" Laptop w/ 3GB, 160GB, DVD Burner $448.00 Toshiba Satellite 15.4" Laptop w/ 4GB, 250GB, Webcam $548.00
  12. Any thoughts on the two laptops in the ad? I am looking for one for my daughter but have never used a Toshiba or hp. She would mainly use it for playing games online, homework, reports etc. If these are decent I may try to grab one. Thanks!
  13. We have an older cat and a new kitten. We knew the tree would be a target for the kitten and it was. What I did was use a small squirt bottle with water in it. I didn't douse the cat or anything...just a very small squirt on his paw whenever he got near it. I tried to do it in such a way that he could not see the squirt bottle and it has worked. The cat steers a mile away from the tree. He thinks it's the tree getting him wet Only took 3 or 4 times for him to get the hint that tree = wet paw! He hasn't touched a needle on it
  14. I shopped but stuck to my list down to the last letter. No impulse buying going on here. A lot of people I know did that. May have been more purchases because people are looking for bargains and their dollars have to go farther. I think there will be a cooling before Christmas.
  15. Claire's in the mall had a huge selection of Hannah and Zach & Cody items. Not on sale of course but a good selection anyway. Lots of journal sets, bags, hannah plug into tv game(joystick with 4 games on it),necklaces with heart shaped locket with cody or zack in it. Little things like that. Also had a bunch of High School Musical items as well. Again not on sale but not too outrageous either.
  16. Now which sales are for today ( Saturday)? I thought about swinging by there later today. I know one is the dragonfly but what are the other ones? Thanks!
  17. Ya maybe it was an accident, although I was in an area with not many people around at the time. Turned to look a pallet, turned back and it was gone Oh well, I had a good laugh about it and thought ...only at Wally World!
  18. No not too worried about it, but I did have someone steal my COFFEE from my cart this morning at Walmart!! It was from 7-eleven and 3/4 full! I couldn't believe it. I hope they got cooties! Who steals coffee?
  19. I went to my local Walmart at 4 am. Parking lot was crowded and lots of people in the store. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Lots of cashiers, many employees telling people where things were located and looking for things we couldn't find. I will say that many items sat for a while and wagons were not very full. Some people were there for big items but many seemed to be after the smaller items. There I got: Two scooters $15 each 13 Going on 30 $2.96 Spiderman 1 & 2 $2.96 Zathura $2.96 Kodak 2 Gb Memory card $12.98 Are you smarted than a 5th grader? $10 I wasn't after anything else so I was happy. No employees could find the Chris Brown combo or the 2gb usb stick so I am thinking they never got any. I must have talked to 10 different employees and with all of them radioing others...no one had seen them. Never saw any in other people's hands/wagons either. Went to Walgreens by 6 am it was dead. No one there. Got two Hannah Montana and Miley dolls for 9.99 an hour before sale officially started. Headed to Gamestop. They must have had 40 Wii's in stock. I wasn't there for one(love the 360) but they had plenty to keep the crowd happy. Got a Gamecube and 3 games for 6 yr old. Used 10% off with the edge card, and b1g1f on used games and spent a total of $62. Not bad for a game system and 3 games. :) We already have a gamecube but now there will be one for both kids rooms and the little one will be thrilled! Headed to the mall and it was crowded. Walked into JCPenney's and walked right out. it was hot , crowded, people were pushy, and it looked like it had been ransacked! Didn't need anything there that badly. Great deals at Bath & Body Works. got a few purses and totes filled with lotions etc. With every purchase of $30 you got a $10 off $30 card. Which I proceeded to use, get another, use, get another, 3 times over!! I still have one in my purse! The receipts also have an area where if you take a survey you get another $10 off coupon, so check your reciepts! Also loved the purse sized spray combos they were giving out with the $30 purchases. Ended up with 4 of them. Stopped at alot of other places and picked up small things here and there. All in all it was a great shopping day. Total spent: $306 tax included Total Saved: $325 and still have $30 in BBW Cards and $20 in Kohls Cash =$375

    Your Spending

I will probably be spending about the same as last year. I did have to scrimp a bit more to get the Christmas fund up to where it was last year though. We have four children and with rising prices on food, gas, etc. we are looking for more bargains to make our dollar go farther. Especially now that the kids are getting older and their taste is getting a bit pricier in the way of electronics and gadgets. So far I am a bit disappointed in the sales but I am sure I will find some good bargains before Christmas. I always do, they just may not be found on bf this year.

    Am I mean ??

Nah not at all! I tease mine all the time when they get home from school, telling them I bought them something for Christmas while they were gone. Then they try and guess and snoop, but little do they know I store everything somewhere else! LOL It keeps them guessing and now that they are older and have the santa thing figured out well, any suspense I can add is a good thing.
  22. I am really disappointed in the ads this year so far. I will be swinging by tru for a few things for the kids, but other than that...there is no place I NEED to be come bf morning for an awesome deal. I am planning on buying some big ticket items, but the retailers have not done enough to draw me to one store over another. I will just keep watching the sales papers and checking gotta deal and I am sure I will have all I want to buy before Christmas. I have a feeling that for 99% of these "deals" I will be seeing similar prices throughout the season. I just plan on putting around through random stores that day browsing for things I may have overlooked. There has been nothing though in the adds that has gotten me excited to go to any of the stores sadly. Kind of a bummer!
  23. I just got back from purchasing one! I went to closest CVS, they didn't have any. Came home and called 3 more and the third store had one left. The clerk knew exactly what I was asking about, price checked it for me over the phone so I didn't waste a trip, and then held it under the counter for me until I could get there 10 minutes later. Rang up at $25, my 12 year old will love it! Thanks for posting this bargain, I was set on buying her a camera and would have spent way more had I not found this.
  24. My walmart did not want to price match either. I had picked up 4 gb micros for my kids. WM price was 39.99, TRU was priced for 34.99. I had the ad and everything! The cashier gave us a hard time and was rude. She told us " Well I can ring it up at our price or you can take yourself over to TRU if the $5 means that much to you ". I was ticked! After explaining to her that the ONLY reason we came to walmart at 4am rather than go to TRU was the fact that they DO pricematch, asking to speak to a manager ( who she only called on the phone and refused to bring to the register), we just said fine and paid $22 extra for them. We were not getting anywhere with this lady. On the way out we swung by the customer service desk. Two ladies working there. One said no price matching at all on BF, the other whispered "We always price match" and proceeded to refund the extra money to us. I could have hugged her! Not really about the money but for the aggrivation we went through. I really hope they get their policies worked out for next year. Between the confusion on price matching and asking 5 different associates where items were and getting 10 different answers, along with items all together not even being there for sale... they could have done better!
  25. best: walmart...people were all cheerful and I got everything on my list worst: kohl's good deals but not worth stadning in line for 2 hrs for. The line was freakin' insane
