Amazon publishes a schedule of its ultra-cheap movie sale every year. I have never been able to buy a single DVD from this sale. I log in, wait for the movie to be available, try to put it in my cart and the SOLD OUT banner shows up. How do you folks get these movies? Add them to your cart early and check out during the sale? I appreciate your help.

75% off is about the right price. Hickory Farms is WAY over priced.

IMHO, the size and quality do not justify the cost. I have a tough time telling the difference between their chicken breast and store bought, except in my wallet. I just looked at the grilling special on sale for 109.99. (http://www.omahasteaks.com/servlet/OnlineShopping?Dsp=1) Add the weights of the products, and you get 8.44 lbs of food. Do the math. Thats $13.03 a pound, and a portion of that is hot dogs and potatoes. My numbers do not include the shipping. You can do SO much better at a local specialty shop.

The only front load laundry sets made in the US are the new Bosch Vision sets. I do believe the Whirlpool dryer is made here, but not the washer.

I ahve tried twice to view the scans. My computer says the file could not be repaired. Anybody else have an issue with the scans? It is my crappy work computer (I swear my boss bought it on sale in 1988). Maybe try again at home later?

I hate people that rush the doors when they open. It happens every year. We travel about 50 miles to get to WM and stand in teh cold to get items for our kids. The lines is usually 100 yards long, and people just stand in the roadway in front of the store and push their way in. So, starting last year, I started defending our space with a cart.

Man, I jumped on this deal, because in the Omaha Steaks world, this is a good deal. Would I ever spend that much on that little food at the grocery? No way. Last night I got: Western Digital 500GB External Hard Drive 99.99 from Best Buy online. That's what I wanted, and just happy about it. Also, went to my local Kmart a few days back. They had a huge display of the Olevia 32" hd tv. It was odd to read some stores had so few. I counted over 125 on display. they also had a sign with the price, and the sale price for Thanksgiving sale. My suprise is how few places are advertising portable dvd players. Guess thats because I need 3 for my boys.

Despair and agony... The scan shows a portable DVD player. I got ads from 2 different Ace's, and checked at the store. No DVD players. Guess I gotta go to Wal Mart. Edited to add: Should have read the messages in this thread.

Depends on where you live. If in a big city, you may as well plan on camping out.

Rebates are a bad deal for black friday sales. They may be good prices, but many folks don't send in the rebate (or enter them online). Companies that do the rebate promotions only expect a small percentage of the money to be reclaimed. Put it on sale without a rebate? 100% of the funds are claimed.

Since it is on sale for 2 days, I think I will get online early and see if I can get one. If not, I am betting there will be a deal close to that before Christmas. I am hoping, anyway.

I need the Western Digital 500 gb external hard drive. But... The nearest BB is 180 mile round trip. So, a few questions: 1- Is this available on line at any point? 2- Do I need to spend the night in front of the store to get one? $99 is a great deal, but not freezing my ass off in a line full of over aggressive shoppers is probably worth the 30 or 40 bucks I am saving. Any help is appreciated.

I have not waded through all the replies, but: Another major retail player should be jumping on this with both feet. The Marketing campaign sure could make Wally's look horrible. "...yes, our BF ad was leaked and posted on the net. But all that does is increase the number of people that see the ad. More people that see the ad, the more people come through our doors. And thats how we make money. And that increase in business was at no cost to us. We didn't require a legal team to send nasty letters to the folks providing us all the free advertising."

It's been a year since I bought these last, but they were only 15.99. Have they all gone up to 19.99?
