I think that it may be a little hard... The 22" monitor is on my shopping list and there are a couple of threads about it. I think that monitors are going to be popular items this year. At those prices, I'm sure that you can understand why!

Hoping to make this a happy turkey day! I'm in Daytona Beach Florida and plan to do Best Buy for black Friday, but I've got a couple of questions about the store during the sale in this area. I've been able to find out that a good time to get to the store (in order to make sure that I'll be between the 1st and 9th person in line) is around 7:00 to 7:30 pm on turkey day and that's cool. I plan on camping out with an ipod, a large thermos of coffee and another of soup; also a small cooler for snacks and the like, but I’ve still got a couple of questions: 1. When did they hand out tickets for doorbuster items last year? 2. Did they hand out tickets for non-doorbuster items w/ limited supply like monitors and/or video cameras? 3. What does the poor, single man do when he’s in line alone and feels the call of nature but is afraid to lose his spot in line? 4. For the folks that are camping out, what do you do w/ all of your camping supplies when the door opens and it’s time to rock and roll? Thanks for any assistance you can give me!

I may be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure that you can do that w/ any monitor as long as your video adapter supports it.

I'm going to agree w/ that. And I think that I'm also going to add this emachine desktop to my black friday shopping list. Thinking about using it as a platform for a htpc. Does anyone have any more detailed specs on this until? Free PCI, PCIx, RAM slots... Memory frequency... etc? I thinking of adding in a tv tuner card some RAM and another HDD and recording some television !

I've been hearing that BestBuy will not price match. I hope that it isn't the case, but I've talked online w/ a couple of people that have told me that it can't be done. Otherwise, I'd buy one of the 22" monitors and one of the camcorders today. If you're able to find out otherwise, PLEASE let me know!

I was thinking the same thing.. Too many unknowns though, and the travel time is a deal-breaker... It's worth investigating for next year though!

I'm starting to think that the BestBuy in Daytona will be relatively easy pickings for what I want for BF this year, but just to stay on the safe side, I'm going to get out early. If I see you there, I'll be the one screaming and flailing my arms and sprinting for the monitors!

BestBuy parking lot from 7:30 on the evening of turkey day and K-Mart immediately there-after. Lowe's after that and then I'm just playing it by ear (or more likely, going home and setting up that 22" lcd ).

I found a couple of reviews for that monitor online and it’s not perfect, but it’s going to be a great deal at $199.99! I’m planning on it being my master bedroom PVR display and I need that lcd badly! :) Since it’s not a doorbuster, I think that I’ll just get a ticket for the $159.99 Panasonic MiniDV Camcorder and maybe one of the smaller lcd televisions and do a sprint to the monitors when the doors open!

Then it is decided! Looks like I'm going to be outside of BB at 7pm turkey day night! I've got to get that 22" monitor and the miniDV camcorder, so if you're going, I'll see you there !!!

That's gotta be the funniest thing I've seen in a while ! Some unthinking WM stocker actually put some of these out on the floor last Sat. Of course I snapped one up, but the cashier refused to sell it.

That's an interesting twist... Too many MIRs though. And it seems like that REALLY want you to get that darn cell phone service.

Anyone have any experience at BB in the Daytona Beach area? It's only about thirty minutes north of Orlando, and I'm concerned that some out-of-towers may be cominig up becuase the BB in Daytona doesn't serve a lot of people. I might have to adjust my game plan if that's the case. Anyone have any information?

I LOVE that 22" lcd! That's what I'm excited about most! If midnight will get the job done, then I'll come at 10pm 'cause I'd like one of the 22"ers and two of the 19"ers!

I'm all about Best Buy's 22" lcd for 199.99. I also want two of the 19" lcds for 129.99 each. Anybody know how many lcd tickets one person is allowed to have? Also, I think that I'll also be getting the the 159.99 camcorder from Best Buy, but the lcds are what I'm really looking for this year!
