  1. A little late, but thank you all for the ideas. I ended up doing something a little off the path and everyone ended up loving it.

The first game was the name the chocolate game. I had about a dozen candy bars cut up into little pieces. Everyone got to sample a piece and write down what they thought it was. everyone thought it would be easy but when you throw in some off candy bars that people haven't had in years, it makes it more interesting.

The second game was chinese m&m's. I had a large bag of m&ms spread out on a medium table, everyone got a set of chopsticks and a plastic cup. They had 1 minute to pick up as many m&m's with the chopsticks. It was fun watching everyone gathered trying to pick up the m&m's.

    Thanks for the ideas!

  2. I feel the stress too. I do have a Christmas fund, but it is put into my savings account on October 1st. Something always comes up and it is usually gone before I can use it for Xmas. This year it went to fix my vehicle. However, this year my employer changed to biweekly paychecks. I am still trying to get use to that. This year my bank is offering a skip a payment on the loans that I have. That does help me enough to get what I need. On top of everything my employer is also doing layoffs. They just laid off 440 and they are talking about more in a couple weeks. So, we will see how things go. We always manage. Good luck
  3. Reality show: pick a selected group of 10(or any # you choose)people. They have a mission, shop shop and shop. They will be given a list of items that are needing to get. They are given a debit card with a limit and a list of ads. The trick is to see how many items they can get with a limited amount of time. They have to have a stratagey to get as much as possible within the limited amount of time. The one who gets the most items from the list wins. There would be Black Friday signs all over as well as the sponsers signs all over.
  4. Thank you for the suggestions. I am thinking about the apples to apples, but I did some research and I might do the candy name game...where i cut up different candy bars and everyone samples and writes down the name of the candy bar they think they ate. So..we will see..thank you once again
  5. Here are some ideas...

    1. See how many words people can come up using the 2 words BLACK FRIDAY

    2. make up a story, Twas the night before Black Friday...i.e.,

Twas the night before black friday, when all through the house

Not a person was stirring, except for mom with her long list that she stuck in her pouch

    3. BLACK FRIDAY BINGO...email anyone who wants to participate a bingo card and you

would post bingo numbers either daily or several times a day, and whoever gets bingo

can email you back the card for verification

    4. using the words BLACK FRIDAY, letter association game...B-Bright & Earlier, L-Long Lines

    A-Angry people, etc....

    5. You said that you will randomly pick 3 people that responded to this email, why not give

some out to the idea or ideas that you actually use, if there are any

    6. Scavanger Hunt with the Black Friday ads

That is all I have for now. Good luck with giving them out.

  6. I am also looking for one for Xmas. I have decide the Xbox pro is the best which is the 60 GB. I am sure you have seen the BF ad, but Sears is listing the XBOX 360 PRO for normal price but you get a free wireless controller with it which is valued at about $50. I am sure there will be other promos coming up towards BF and Xmas, but from what has been told to me the prices wont drop, just extras that might come with it.
  7. Every year I host Turkey day. The past several years we all eat and then play Deal or No Deal on DVD. We all put in $1 and the person who ends up with the most money wins the pot. (I also have little treat bags filled with candy, pencils, kleenex, etc.. to hand out to everyone, even the little kids that may not play the game.) It doesn't matter if we play together like a bingo or if it is something like the deal or no deal where we do it individually. I just need some ideas that we can play for a game that doesn't require being smart, something for fun.
  8. I do buffet style....I understand you situation. I live in a single wide mobile home and this year we are having 14 attend (including us). The numbers keep going up every year. The only good thing is, I make 2 turkeys, potatoes, and corn...the basics and everyone else brings a dish or two with them. It makes it alot easier. When the turkeys are done everything is set up and ready to go. They help themselves and sit down where ever they can find room. Good luck and enjoy
  9. I have searched and can't find what to do. I have started another thread and am wanting to post a picture. I did search other forums on how to do so, but nothing is working. I

I did preview the post and no actual photo just the info above....

can anyone help...what am I doing wrong?

I see pictures on here and just want to put some of mine too....thank you in advance for any help.

  10. OK....I need help. I was able to add an album with pictures, but still having problems.... I used the 'Insert Image' button above and have tried many different url's but it doesn't physically show the picture. It shows a link to click to get the picture. I want to be able to actually post a picture. How would one be able to do actually post a picture as part of a reply
  11. I have ordered a few things with my pepsi points. I have gotten a CD, a basic dark blue light weight t shirt, and the digital keychain. So far the shirt is a good fit and comfy and the keychain is a cool gadget. My dh loves it. It took a little bit to figure it out, but it is a great gift the only down fall is it needs to be charged quite a bit. I still may get some for X-mas gifts.
