  1. While I think the consensus on prices is pretty crappy so far... there is hope for the elusive Doorbusters. Sure, most stores will probably have ~5 doorbuster TVs but there is hope... right?
  2. I agree. So far the year of the TV sale is falling very flat. Granted, Best Buy and Circuit City have not had their ads out yet, however, other stores that should have good sales simply do not... yet.
  3. Depends if I "need" to go out there. If there are items this year that do not appeal to me as doorbusters or anything, I will go out an hour or so early for parking reasons. If there is that one item that I "need" I will go out much earlier.
  4. The whole 720p and 1080p, note some tvs will be 720i or 1080i, is a kind of cat in the box theory. If you are looking at tvs that are 40" or less in screen size you can buy a 720p and not worry about getting a 1080p 40" tv to save some money. The 1080p description comes into play when the screen gets bigger. Talking about buying a 50" or larger screen then 1080p is what you want. 1080p on a smaller screen is simply not needed.
  5. I like the way you think but am personally hoping that 32" may hit $300... namebrand type. I do not need anything bigger than 32" but if there are some good sets at 37" that are ~$400 that would be hard to pass up.
  6. It was 2005, wow it seems like last year, but my brother and I are at CC and we are about persons 45ish in line. The line is already around back and coming up again around the parking lot. Milwaukee, WI 76th street CC if you know where that is. So, a mother and daughter, maybe 12 years old at the most, come trying to get in line near the time of opening. Politely people inform them, me included, that they should get to the back. I think they were overwhelmed at the people. I talked with them briefly as the mom probably thought she was sweet talking me, but found out the daughter wanted a Game Boy Advance for $50 I believe it was. I thought CC would have lots of them and I was there for one myself. When the doors opened my brother and I parted ways to get what we came for helping each other as we split the store in two. I grabbed a couple game boys and as we were waiting in line I see the daughter without a Game Boy. The daughter was timid, quiet, and shy that morning and mom was being more than what a mother should be. I walk up to the daughter, I am 6'3" so that did not help matters. I hand the daughter the Game Boy and tell her to have a Merry Chirstmas. The daughter smiled and I dont even know if mom noticed me.
  7. Depending on where the guy went, how close it was to opening time, and all, why not just give the guy his spot back? You knew he was there, you knew it was the same guy and all. I would have let him have his spot back and not thought twice about it.
  8. I wrote an email to the corporate link in the new update. Wally World is being immature to say the least.
  9. IF Nintendo is the company you want why not get them a Nintendo Wii? It might be out of your price range but for $350 you could get the system, another controller, and one game of your choice. There is no bundle but I am doing round numbers for you here. Plus, if you have cable internet or at least high speed you can download older games and also buy Game Cube games to play on the Wii. Like I said, it may be out of your price range but would be the way to go in my mind. The game that the system comes with is full of simple sports that the girls could play together on. And, if you have any worries of finding one dont be because there should be plenty out there.
