  1. We don't have a Sears and the last two years I've ordered my camcorders and cameras from Sears and Best Buy. They go on sale online at midnight, then I head out for the walmart sale. I had my camera already in my shopping cart and when I got online all I had to do was pay..THe price was already adjusted in my cart.
  2. No, they don't all have tire and lube. They are slowly being closed . Our new superwalmartr doesn't have one and they said they are slowly going to close all of them. Our walmart doesn't allow the pallets to be opened until time.
  3. Nope, I always go there, but I get my electronic doorbusters from Sears and Best buy and Amazon and I got them at 12 midnight the last 3 years. I tried for a dvd player two years ago and at midnight it showed sold out online.
  4. Last year with the guitar hero, it was good immediately. I used mine at same time.
  5. Low on the totem pole. Stick with Samsung or LG or be sure and buy and extended warranty.
  6. I would spend the extra money. With an off brand, chances are it could quit after warranty is up and they are too expensive to fix. I've done a lot of discussing this with repair and sales people. Samsung and LG are my requirements. I don't want to have to b u another one in a year because I wanted to save a 100.00.
  7. Most all of the black friday stuff comes in specially coded with different upc codes and will not work for price matching.
  8. Be careful. I bought polaroid 2 dvd theater system a few years ago and they open outwards. The latch broke on mine 3 times and on the two i bought my son 2 times. All are now broken. My son just bought himself a portable dvd player and carries it in the car with him now and it's lasted 2 years.
  9. My son got his at age 10. It was only 10 a month and i feel great peace of mind that he has it. He seldom uses it and I bought him a text package for 5.00 a month just in case . Many of the students in his school carry them, my cousin makes her daughter carry hers because you never know what could happen. My daughter wasn't allowed one until she paid for it herself, but it's the changing times. IT would have saved lots of aggravation.
  10. Parafin is used when you use chocolate chips to make it harden better. If you use almond bark it works and tastes much better.
  11. We always have roast turckey, mash potatoes, dressing, corn, cranberry sauce, homemade rolls which I make, Pumpking pie which I make and lemon lush. SOmetimes another vegetable salad. I was raised that tradition is important and my 13 year old cannot wait til thanksgiving although the rolls are the only thing he will eat.
  12. No matter the price, I always buy about a dozen gifts per child. If one child wants real expensive stuff, he gets some real inexpensive stuff to make up the amount. If the other wants cheap things, there are still same amount of boxes, but some boxes have more itms in them, like books or movies. My youngest wanted expensive stuff last year, like camcorder and guitar hero and other expensive things. I don't buy cheap electronics so I bought the 2-- Sony handycm. This year he doesn't want much, so he needs a new portable dvd player and I"m getting him a more expensisve one to make up the difference. I've never understood giving less presents because they cost more. It hurts the child's feelings and they don't really understand when they are young. I don't care if it's a dollar, they get more presents.
  13. I don't like buying anything cheap, no matter which kid it's for. My son got the Sony Handycam with hard drive last year. It takes pictures and I borrow it sometimes. It is a wonderful camera. I paid 199 for it on black friday.
  14. We love the wii. My son is 13 and my oldest has the xbox. He cannot get on the internet without paying for it, but the wii is wireless and gets online free. Our netflix is right on their and it costs nothing. My youngest said the xbox is for for older kids . The games are not made for younger kids. The wii is so versatile. I bought the wii fit for me and even my 4 year old grand daughter plays it.
  15. I bought my doorbusters at midnight last year and at 15 after, it was gone. Try then first.
  16. IT's early still, they will probably get new stock for the sale.
  17. Just buy online. I got doorbusters online at midnight last year and plan to do the same again sincer there is no best buy in my town.
  18. I don't freeze any of it, I find it tastes freezer burnt the one time i tried to freeze buckeyes. We put them in tins and tupperware and they stay good til xmas. Also my mom told me if you freeze it, they get wet when thawed. I cover pretzels, make buckeyes, chocolate and peanut butter fudge, sometimes sponge candy, divinity, among others and last year I added homemade marshmallows. They were extremely fun and much better than storebought. You cut them and roll in colored sugar or coconut, etc . Got the recipe from taste of home. Kids loved them. I don't do cookies, I make trays and if you mix candy and cookies on the trays, the cookies get bad. My mom makes the cookies, spritz ones and she starts baking Thanksgiving.
  19. My son looked at me like I was an idiot and said " are you kidding me". My oldest posted on facebook he'd never heard of such a thing. Skinny jeans for men. Our penney's always has tons of these in mens an women's for real cheap. Once for 1.00. They don't seem to be selling well.
  20. Hottopic has an extra 50 percent off on clearance right now. they have some really good buys and it usually only lasts a few days so check it out. Be careful though, the women's line is usually pretty revealling and sex oriented.
  21. I agree, but almond bark is not just one flavor, it is vanilla or chocolate. I have used wilton for colored candy molds before. It's all a matter of preference.
  22. True, I've been shopping for a flat screen a few months and talked with several stores salespeople. I was told to buy the warranty ,because it costs more to fix a flat screen that it costs to buy a new one. But, I was told to stick with a good brand like Samsung or LG which I will do as their pics are much better anyway. For 299, I would try a westinghouse, but there is no target near me . I do my big item shopping online at midnight and by 1 I am back in bed until morning when I go to walmart and just browse the cheaper stuff.
  23. Dont buy LG, pure junk, I work in the appliance service field, that thing is a jok!! I 've been told by several tv salesmen and the store in our town who used to be zenith now carries strictly lg, that they are top of the line with samsung. I have two samsung's that I think are wonderful. I've read nothing but good reviews for both.
  24. I've been making candy for over 25 years. I give large plates to the neighbors and relatives. I fill about 15 trays total. I tried chips and crisco and they take too long to harden and are too messy. I don't care for Wilton either. I LOVE almond bark. I melt it in the microwave and hve a slow cooker I put on low and it keeps it thin enough to dip. THey harden in less than 5 minutes. I also use it to dip my buckeyes, but I refrigerate them first so they don't fall off the stick, that would work for the cakeballs also. I make sponge candy and dip them too. Last year, I bougtht a load of bark for 1.00 a package after xmas and will use it this year, It's sealed and keeps well.
