At my walmart every employee works on black friday, from management down to the maintanence crews. While your not allowed to take items until the sale starts, we are the ones who know where everything is so its a no brainer to grab the item you want and keep it in the back until you have a break to pay for it. Its unlikely you would get in trouble unless you try to take several of one item.

I work as a supervisor over the instock crews at walmart. I get to know whats coming, prices, even where thier gonna put it friday morning. Its kinda fun seeing people go crazy over the items we've had in the backroom for a month waiting for the sale ...we have tickle me elmos too(24 of em lol)
