  1. From preschool to elementary age it is common practice for parents to combine money and give one gift certificate from the class. It is usually sent by the class mom and is open to the dollar amount you want to give. Although you can call room mom and between 5 and 10 is the recommended amount. The gift certificate is for their favorite place to shop or just an American Express gift certificate. I've also seen money trees or wreaths. The crisp bills are tied in red ribbon and place on a live tree or wreath. The teacher usually gets between 100-200. Not as personal but I'm sure they appreciate it! The present is presented at the class party and is always from the class whether a parent choose to give or not.
  2. I'm thinking the older Annabell is better for my little girl. She will be three in March. So either for Christmas or her birthday I wanted to get her the doll. I'm thinking that encouraging her to fill a bottle with water to make the baby cry is NOT a good idea. Thanks for letting me know! Lisa
  3. I was just at Lakeside today. Not all the stores are open but I'm sure the rest are racing to get ready for the Christmas season. Also, the TRU in Slidell is open and all the stores in the Slidell mall except for Dillard's (women's) is open. I will stay in the Mandeville/Slidell area. Have fun!
