  1. most of my stuff is in my closet in my room. I have a few things in the storage closet outside. I haven't started wrapping yet. I never do until a few days before Christmas. And, thankfully I am almost finished shopping. I need to buy each kid their BIG item and I need to buy more for ds19 months.
  2. Just got back from Target. Got a couple of good deals. Eddie Bauer tent fan 75% off for 4.98, Fisher Price Tic and Toc learning clock for 4.98 (75% 0ff??), National Geographic microscope 50% 0ff 4.98 (last one), footprint/photo frame 50% off 9.98. I was really happy with the tent fan (good for camping and hurricane season in Louisiana!) and the learning clock. I looked for the wagons but could not find any.:(
  3. Hey, I used to have too much for one kid and not enough for the next due to my shopping. Now I have a little notebook I carry with me and on each page I have a child's name and I list things as I buy them. Then as it gets closer adn closer I will know who is not "done" and who is so I know what I am looking for. After the pages of my kids names I have a list of every one in the family that we buy gifts for and two columns, one for chistmas and one for birthdays. Then I write in what we got as I buy it. Then I am not at a loss for what goes where. The thigns that will make "someone" a gift if we are invited to a party or wedding goes on the "extras" page so I always know what is in the top of the closet without pulling it all down.

very good idea! This is what I need to start doing. I usually pull everything out in Nov. and write it all down to see what I have and what goes to who. This would make it so much easier.

  4. That is me, only I have my own kids and several nieces and nephews to buy for...last year I had so much come Christmas time that I had to save some of it, and re-distribute, because it was just too much for my kids...and dh says it was STILL too much, and really, it was...and then I brought home some REALLY good clearance stuff in January to put away for this coming Christmas, and dh thought I was nuts and said, "We just got through with Christmas, and you're already buying for NEXT Christmas?" I buy anything I can ahead of time on clearance, for birthdays, Christmas, clothes for the following year, etc. There's no way I could afford to pay full price for everything...I buy a few things for full price, the things I find out they want at the last second, stuff like that, but for the most part, I try to buy ahead...

me too! That's my shopping philosophy. My hubby and friends all think Im nuts! But, my hubby appreciates it every year at Christmas and birthdays. This way my 3 boys and my nieces and nephews all get good presents that we otherwise wouldn't be able to afford.
