There is NO pricematching at Best Buy this year. No exceptions. If you were told you could do a pricematch, the salesperson was wrong. Look at the ad. Get in line with everyone else.
well at my best buy they did price match and i bought the tv last week and the service counter was open but they did tell me at the counter they dont like price matching but did give me the $299.00 for $129.00 so i got that abd bought me a 42 inch lcd so its all good every best buy is diffrent:)

as i said best buy did honor its promise to price match door buster 15 inch advent tv!:) last week!!!!!!!!

I think it is rewarding us folks who know how to use the internet, because our Iowa ad clearly says goto bestbuy.com to get the rest of the 7 hour specials..
read the ad you "cant" buy the 7 hour ones online.......da! as for the gift certif. program they clain they made more money doing that than any other type of promotion they had ran during this time last year .......so they say...

ALRIGHT SO I AM STILL CONFUSED IF MY STORE, MOLINE IL WILL BE OFFERING THE EXTRA 7 HOUR SPECIALS.
I am wanting to get the 42" panasonic plasma, but I have been hearing many mixed reactions as to whether or not my store will be participating in this sale, and just what exactly they are and are not going to honor. I contacted the 888-best-buy number and got absolutely no where from those people, I explained the situation to the customer service agent and got really no help at all from him, he just kept trying to talk me into buying the television now at the regular price!
Has anyone in the Quad City area heard anything definate about Best Buy possibly NOT honoring any of these ads? And if not does anyone know a for sure way that I can find out, so I'm not waiting in the freezing cold for something possibly not even available to me.
from what i have been told they will honor the ad or you can get the gift certif it is your choice acording to the local best buy but........you cant hace both

theyclaim it but they just lost over $1000 in business from me, and Im sure many other people. Oh and dont forget about all of us not buying our Monster cables and Product replacement plans for our HDTVs
I used to work in IA BBY, and well I can tell its been going downhill for the store in my area, but this just clearly shows that they just dont care. Although I cant believe they did this in Nebraska, there are some rather large stores there.
fyi the "second" bf ad the 15$ gift card one, is only for NE and IA
so if you live in Illinois, they should have to honor the national ad, it clearly states on it, (bottom right front page) that it only excludes them two.
looks like Im pitchin a tent elsewhere this year
they do clain in some IL stores you can have one or the othe but not both either the ad price or the gift cift. for every $100 spent:eyepoppin

The Illinois and Iowa quad-cities will not have the ad that was posted here on Gotta deal, this happened last year too. We have the Gift card special, Well all I wanted was the camara and now Ill get the one at walmart
the best buy in IL quad cities will honer the ad but the davenport,iowa store will not acording to best buy corprate your given the choice in the IL store i was told by corprate

lets face it we know all what the ad says but in real life we know not every manager is gonna go by the rules, and with that said i think we can all agree some stores will pre-sale some things as mine did and by the way the model is the same as the door buster one is but so i am not suprised some others are saying that othe bb stores are doing this i know that i went back and reafirmed with the manager and got his name and what type of manager he is just in case.......as for the service counter being open during the 5 am morning i was told it would be open at least in my store that im going to ........good luck to everyone :)

Stupid Iowa BB stores. No 7 hour deals for us - instead we get $15 GCs for every $100 we spend (making the Westinghouse TV $695 instead of $480, and I'm not camping out for that). Guess they're not getting our money this Friday. This sucks.
some stores in iowa and IL are going to do this instead of doing the national ad and some stores also are giving you a choice between the gift certf. or the ad depends on where your store is located......

they do price match for purchases before friday my best buy told me the same thing so i bought mine already:)

Guess you missed the part in the section you talk about: "...does not apply to our free offers, limited-quantity items (which is darned near everything in the BF ad.....they almost all have a limited quantity of each item which is why they list a minimum number avail. at the store)...... For other exclusions, etc., etc."
So, as I read this, the front page overrides anythign else, and even if it doesn't somehow, the limited-quantity clause covers pretty much everything else.
i just got back from the local best buy and was told my pre buy would still get the early bird price on what i bought this week but im still standing in line to get the other tv i want:)

some stores say that but we know not all best buys go by that just like the pilot program they are doing in IL and iowa how many people know about that right now .... some stores are not eveing honering black friday national ads but rather giving you $10 for every hundred spent in gift cert. so if this store superviser dont keep to his word of honering my pre-purchase as he stated to me last night i will make a big seen in the store......lol ooh and by the way i was told the service desk will be open during the morning hours at least in my home store

just some stores in IL and IOWA the only reason our store did not do this is because of the peoria store did not but the store across the river in davenport is so im not sure which stores are they claim more money was made doing this than just a regular black friday

this is not the first time best buy has done this and the manegers have lee-way with this policy plus i know the maneger;)

just to let everyone know i just came back from best buy in moline,IL and just bought the 15 inch lcd advent tv for my kitchen for 122.00 its reg is 299.00 i was told tonight by the store maneger that i could buy this tv at reg price and get black friday price if i come in that morning i was also advised that some stores in iowa and IL are running a pilot program where they are not honering the national ad but rather are giving out a $10.00 gift cert. for every $100 spent at best buy be forwarned of this as your local ads come out next week coz the thread on here does not say that:(

its very sad when a grocery store chain closes i worked for "eagle country markets " in the quad cities for 25 years when they closed there doors and now all we have is hy-vee's they really dont compare to eagles stores:(

the store in the quad cities (IL) told me you could either get both but i bought a 42 inch westy today and they told me since you get national ad price no gift certif i was like the 100 person in line i got a 32 westy and a 42 inch westy plus i bought a advent the week before it went on sale and they priced matched it when i went to the service desk i was the 2 person in line and they told me they dont like price matching but they did it so all is good now:)
