To even out the number of presents, try wrapping small gifts that you might otherwise use as stocking stuffers. At 8 and 10, your boys are old enough to understand how much things cost. When I was a kid, I asked for a Gameboy (black and white, of course!) but knew I'd never get it because it was so expensive. On Christmas morning, my brother and I each had six presents under the tree. From "Santa," I got my Gameboy-- and from my parents, a game and four individually wrapped batteries. :) It was the best Christmas surprise I could have imagined, and I had great fun exclaiming over each of my gifts.
