Taste of Home magazine for $2 per year(up to 4 yrs)
sewwise replied to krissy72's topic in Online Hot Deals
I have used this site before when the previous owners had it. I think it was a bunch of high school kids running it for a fund raiser. They took many subscriptions and didn't fill them. New owners took the site over and fulfilled the old subscriptions that people ordered. However, in the interim that is where many of these complaints are coming from that another poster mentioned. I ordered several magazine subscriptions in 1/08 and I have just started finally receiving them this summer. However, I DID receive everything I paid for. I truly believe it was because of the former owners. I would have no problems trying them again, especially for only $2! HTH -

Kohls.com 30% off & Free Shipping Deal Discussion Thread (7/15 - 7/21)

The Nintendo DS games are all on sale from 16.99 - 21.99. With the extra 30% off they come to 11.89 - 15.39. I picked up a Disney one for $11.89. They have a pretty big selection also. I believe the Wii games are on sale also, but don't have one so didn't look at them. -
You must be a Kohl's card holder to get the additional percentage off. It's luck of the draw. They send you the sale book in the mail and there is a peelie sticker on the front. Once you peel it back it will reveal either a savings of 15%, 20%, or 30%.

Went to Kohl's in Appleton, WI and they are doing the 25% off clearance also. I also have the 30% peelie so I made out like a bandit! Good deals to be had!

it's now 60% off

I ordered the Zoo keeper game for Nintendo DS on Monday, Dec. 15 and it still hasn't shipped. The other 3 items in my order have shipped (in two different shipments) and of course, I need it to give to a family member on Dec. 24. I'm getting nervous that it won't arrive in time. It says it's in stock so I don't know what is taking them so long to ship. This is the third order I have placed in the last 10 days and none of them took this long to ship.

Coldwater Creek 25% off everything plus free shipping no minimum

Certain states, such as the wonderful state of Wisconsin have a minimum mark up law. So, for many of the BF items in previous years such on the lap tops where the stores in most states are taking them at a loss, Wisconsin's price will be higher than the nationally advertised price because of the minimum mark up law. They have to take their cost plus a certain percentage and that is what they have to sell it for. Lovely, huh?!

This was on Clark Howard's radio show today. Just wondering what everyone's thoughts are about it: This is the first I've heard about Plasma's not being a TV of choice these days. Clark predicts outrageous flat-screen TV prices to come This is now the third year in a row that Clark is crowing about great deals on HDTV flat-screens for the holiday season. But the deals this year will be so good that he wants to venture an outrageous prediction. On Black Friday, Clark thinks we'll see lead prices of $499 on 42-inch flat-screens. He has no factual evidence or insider knowledge to support this belief. But there is an oversupply in the factory capacity for making the screens, so Clark believes he may be on the mark. There will also be great deals on plasma TVs during the holidays. Plasmas have fallen out of favor even though they're often better than LCDs. If you have a room that doesn't get a lot of natural light, you might want to try a plasma screen. Most of the deals you'll see will be on 720p resolution screens -- even though 1080p is being marketed as the "full" high-definition television experience. But the signal coming from your cable or satellite company is likely to be somewhere in the 480p-720p range. So there's no need to buy 1080p. You probably won't see much difference unless you're on a 50-inch screen or larger. Meanwhile, Clark thinks Sony's tiny little OLED screen blows away anything that might wow you right now. So his core advice is to always buy current technology -- not the leading-edge state of the art that always costs too much and will soon be outdated.

Anyone have a free shipping code? -
I'm bumping this again for anyone that ordered this magazine when it was the deal of the day on 1/24 like I did and still haven't received their first issue. Customer Service at Best Deal Magazines just confirmed that the publisher has me set up to receive my first issue in SEPTEMBER 2008 and my subscription ends with the August, 2009 issue! That is crazy!! Didn't know I would have to wait 9 MONTHS to get a magazine!!

Curious what is good regarding the premiere? I'm looking for photo editing software that can do more than just the basics of removing red eye, etc. I would like to be able to make a picture all black and white and colorize certain aspects of a picture like making my son's eyes blue or just showing the color on a shirt, etc. Is that a feature of premiere?

Official Photo Prints Deals, Codes & Discount Offers Thread

Walgreens has buy 25 get 25 free. I've used this before when I had 200 or more pictures and here is what I recommend. Upload your pictures to Walgreens.com. Submit your orders in groups of 50. So if you have 200 pictures to print you would have 4 orders of 50 and therefore will get 100 total prints free! Code to use at online checkout is 25FREE. HTH :)
