    Buy Buy Baby

Does anyone know if Buy Buy Baby does any Black Friday deals? I searched in the archives and couldn't find anything (I found Bed Bath and Beyond, which is the same company, but not BBB specifically). Just wondering if it is worth waiting to purchase something I need or just go ahead and use the typical 20% off coupon now. Thanks!
  2. I need to buy some lip gloss for a 17 year old and am wondering if there's a "cool" lip gloss that is what teens are wearing nowadays? Not being near that age myself and being allergic to most makeup, I am clueless about both what's trendy and what's good quality. Of course, I am looking for good deals on this, as well, as I would like to be able to buy a variety for her rather than just one or two. Any help/suggestions on type and/or where to get a deal would be much appreciated! Thanks!
  3. We got my niece one of these a couple of years ago at Target, so you might check there. I don't remember how much we paid, but I know it wasn't anywhere near $50!
  4. I've been trying to do my GPS research, as I'm a GPS newbie, but I still have some questions that hopefully someone can help me with: Does anyone have any experience with or information about the lifetime traffic that is available on some Garmins? This feature seems to be appealing to me if it would warn me about traffic jams ahead of time so that I could avoid them, but is it really effective? If it is, is there a way to add this feature to a Garmin that does not come with it, or do you have to purchase one that already has it? Another question- I've heard that only some GPS systems have an option when you're driving to re-route if you go off course. For example, if I get off the interstate, some GPS will not re-route and will just direct you to get back on the interstate. Others, however, have an option to direct you another way without getting back on the interstate. Is there a way to tell if a GPS has this option? I'm looking at all the GPS systems out there on BF, and hoping to get one that day, but still feel like I don't have the information I need to make a good decision! Thanks in advance for your help!
  5. The Panthers' site has clearance deals, so you may want to watch that if you aren't already. Right now they have a youth jersey of Dwayne Jarrett for $19.99 before shipping: http://shop.panthers.com/dwaynejarrettjersey-80-youth-replica-white.aspx
  6. I couldn't find a thread on this already- If there is one and this information is already out there, my apologies! Please delete or combine as necesary. I was at the Tommy Hilfiger store at the outlets in Edinburgh, IN this weekend, and the sales associate told me they are opening at 10pm on Thanksgiving this year! I asked her again because I thought all the Chelsea Premium Outlet centers always opened at midnight on BF. She said that because of the huge traffic issues (so much traffic it shuts down the interstate, etc), they are trying to find a way to distribute the flow a little bit. So, as she said "a few of us" (I'm guessing she meant stores) will be opening at 10pm on Thanksgiving. I was surprised by this, and wonder if it might be happening at other Chelsea centers, too, although the company website still says midnight for opening time. I guess the point is that if you are an outlet shopper on BF, you may want to check with the individual stores for their opening times, even though the center website says midnight! Anyone else heard about this? Is this old news and I'm way out of touch?
  7. In the past (from what I can recall), I don't think Build A Bear has done anything huge for Black Friday- No big sales or huge discounts.
  8. A favorite of mine that hasn't been mentioned are the Statler Brothers Christmas albums. They're great!
  9. I think that the BF sale is usually about 50% off on FP toys.
  10. I haven't seen this idea on here yet, so here goes. This will be too much for younger kids, but middle to older aged can handle it (possibly with some sewing help): To make these heated pillow bags (like heating pads but without the cord), Get ears of indian corn and scrape all the kernels off (there are tools that do this, you can rub them off by hand, etc). Then, pick out some fabric (flannels and corduroys are great for winter) and cut two same sized squares, like you are making a small pillow, that are about 12-16 inches long and 7-9 inches wide. Sew 3 sides of the fabric together. Then, put the indian corn kernels in the bag and sew up the fourth side. Sounds odd, but you put it in the microwave for about 3-6 minutes (depends on how much corn you put in it, how big it is)- really just put it in until it gets good and hot. It then stays hot for a long time, so you can sit with it on your lap or hands, or put it at your feet in bed at night, etc. to help keep you warm. Of course, I'm originally from a cold state, so these were a big hit, but if you're not in an area where it gets cold in winter, nevermind!

    Disney Store

One year they did a special of "spend X amount of money (I can't remember how much, but it wasn't exorbitant), get a Disney movie free." Just a nice little bonus since I would have spent that much anyway. Maybe they'll do something like that again?
  12. Ok, I thought I replied to this earlier, but it's not showing up (at least to me), so I'll try again. If it appears twice, I apologize. So: Although I can't remember tons of specifics about what's usually on sale, I do know that we end up at Dick's every year. Always later in the morning or in the early afternoon, though, as their "early bird" deals have usually gone longer than many other stores (until 2:00ish, I think), which is really nice. They do have other deals all weekend, too, like most stores. They've always still had the things we've been after, even though we've gone later (there's never been anything that we've been SO desperate for that we went there first). Ex- A couple of years ago my mom and I got a good deal on a nice outdoor firepit/grill-type thing for my dad as an "early bird" special, and I specifically remember there were still two left when we were there even though the hours for specials were almost over. It has never been super crazy when we've been there, either. (The one we go to is in a pretty big city, so it's significant in my memory b/c it's so surprising!) Like anywhere, though, I'm sure it depends on what you're looking for and the location of the store. Good luck!
  13. Ok, after reading some more posts on here, I realized that I posted this question in the wrong place. I didn't realize there is a difference between "prime" outlets and "premium" outlets. Oops! My apologies!! So, here it is again, hopefully in the right place this time: Did anyone go to the outlets in Illinois (Aurora) last year? I'm heading up that way for Thanksgiving this year to visit family and I'm wondering if I should start there before the early morning shopping begins. Is it worth it? Traffic issues or tips? Good sales? Any info, tips, or suggestions would be much appreciated! Thanks!
