  1. ARe their doorbuster deals often available online? I do that with stuff from Staples. Learned that one when I went out BF morning, saw the Staples line, and went home. Ordered in online, laughing all the way! I don't usually do Best Buy on BF, so I'm not as familiar with their online ordering situation.
  2. The issue I have with Best buy is their freakin' "10 minimum per store; ticket required". I'm not the die hard that will be in line for 12+ hours to get a ticket to save a few extra bucks. Stores that have only 10 of something really irritate me. How about a couple of hundred of something if its that hot of a deal otherwise, don't bother.
  3. dang posting on a cell phone stinks. jeesh!
  4. Yes; the change of address at usps.com charges $1. I really am moving and I put in my request . I got the coupon for lowes instanely, plus I printed a few extra for home depot.
  5. Has anyone ever combined a Lowe's mover coupon with Lowe's black friday items? And what about using one at Home Depot? Would love to know! Thanks!
  6. 2 questions: 1) how do I download it in pdf? When I click on the ad scans I just get html pgs. Is there a link I'm missing for pdf? 2) does anyone have a scan of the furniture department sales? Before the scans were available, it showed some furniture deals. Thanks
  7. I think that is the same one I purchased for my son for Christmas. We haven't yet taken it out of the box. I'm glad to hear it is a good one. I know he'll be excited to get it.:)
  8. I bought a Toshiba notebook several years ago. By far, that one was the most cheaply put-together computer we have ever had. The first day, the clip that holds it closed broke off with normal closing. After a few months, the usb ports started coming out WITH the usb cords that were plugged in when we tried to unplug them. After 1 year, the screen decided to get a line going across it for no apparent reason. Granted, I purchased this computer back in 2004, and maybe since then they have changed how their products are made. But I'll never have another Toshiba.
  9. FWIW, I have a set of Maytag HE Front Loaders. I HATE HATE HATE them, and that is putting it mildly. $1800 for the set and I HATE them. They do a terrible job washing. My clothes have not been really clean since I got rid of my 20 year old agitator machine and dryer. The dryer takes FOR-FREAKIN'-EVER to dry clothes unless it is a very small load. If that wasn't bad enough, the sensor doesn't work (hasn't from day 1) and they will cut off before anything is dry. I have to set it for the auto cycle on highest heat for 59 minutes. When that is done the only way to bypass the sensor and keep it drying is to put it on a manual "rapid" dry cycle for another hour. Do not buy maytag front loaders.
  10. OK, I'm needing to find a deal for xmas too. I also have a teen going to college and we need basically the same as was posted above. I would prefer to avoid AMD's. But what I don't know is how the celeron differs from a Pentium. Can someone explain that? Thanks!
  11. I did NOT get up early with the crowd. I ventured out around 9-ish to Staples, Best Buy, and Target. *I ordered the garmin gps from target online the day before with a $7 coupon that covered shipping + $1 more. *got two office chairs from staples $19.99 ea. on BF. They were sold out of the 9.99 after rebate bluetooth (see below). *I got the 32" samsung lcd tv from Best buy. There were still dozens in the store at 10am. (I also had a 12% discount coupon from a promo at my kids' high school football game making it only $439 instead of 499! ) *Got the stainless crock pot from Target 14.99 *decided I should get a gps for each of us, and got the tomtom from staples online and the 9.99 (after rebate) bluetooth too. *Then I ventured over to JCP and got a bunch of clothes and sleep pants for my husband and kids. Everything was 50-60%+ off. Used expired $10/$10 and $10 rewards, net $94+change after tax; used freebie $100 giftcard that I got from my citi mastercard points . *Then ventured over to Walgreens, where I got the norelco speed xl shaver 29.99-$10 mfr coupon = 19.99, and I picked up the buy1 at 1.99, get 2 free rolls of wrapping paper. Not bad.
  12. I always wonder if they are comparing apples to apples. Since I have no concept of the numbers they are talking, let's say shoppers spent: $20 million last year. So would they be saying they spent $20.6 million this year? I mean, everything costs more this year: groceries are higher, household items are higher...the price of everything went up. That to me really isn't spending MORE per se. Things cost more. Kind of like how they base movie sales. Seems they need to tally things in terms of units rather than bottom line $$. Know what I mean?
  13. Best Buy still has the 300 available online for 499.99 http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9054685&st=Tday_TV_20081127&lp=5&type=product&cp=1&id=1218013168625
  14. I am glad to see this post. I bought the 499 samsung 32 at BB yesterday (with a 12% off flyer I got from my kids' school, making it 439!). I debated on getting the 330 model instead. They had the 330 on display, but the 300 was not. I've been a tad worried about buying it without seeing it on display, so I'm glad to hear you are having good results with it! Thanks!:)

    Now what? :(

I have multiples of everything, but no walgreens ad. I like to hit them up for candy and wrapping paper...
  16. The one at target is available online right now. There is no free shipping (shipping $6), but there is a link from this site: http://www.freeshipping.org/category/target-free-shipping/ That has a $7 off $70 or more that covers the shipping with an extra buck.
  17. You don't know what you're getting yourself into LOL! I've done this at Kohl's for non-Black-Friday deals, and let me tell you what a PITA it is!!! Kohl's doesn't have an easy way of doing price adjustments (Mervyn's, for example, just scans the bar, looks it up and does an adjustment). For some reason, Kohl's has to do an individual return on each item. I've had a 6 item price adjustment take fifteen minutes at Kohl's!
  18. I'm keeping an eye out for the same. I haven't seen any really good stuff show up yet. I think Circuit City has some components on BF, but I'd have to look again to see. I've been looking out for a Samsung 1000watt, and I didn't see it as a BF deal yet.
  19. Be careful about getting one from Home depot. Last year, I sent dh to HD for a prelit tree that was supposedly a BF deal at $39. When he brought it home, it was a $39 tree (imagine what a $39 tree looks like!) I mean, it had a tag on the inside that said $39. I was expecting a great tree at a superbargain price, but I got what I paid for...
  20. I didn't take it that way. Like I mentioned, I've never been one of the first (insert number) in the store. I usually get in line like 3:30 am, and the line is wrapped around by then. If I have to be there by 8:00pm on Turkey day to get one of 50 doorbusters, then I'll have to pass. I appreciate all the input. I have definitely been irked in the past by people cutting at the last minute when they open the door. I can see how it would be unfair. Though, the person who would be joining me would not be getting the doorbuster too. thanks for all the replies
  21. So far it's looking like BB. I'm still waiting for the CC and Target ads. My shopping center has Target, Staples, BB, and Kohl's. So even though I'd like to find a better deal, it would be difficult if it were outside my home cluster of stores.
  22. Suppose I am meeting a friend, and I get there first. Is it ok to hold a place in line? I've seen others do it, when parking the car. I've never been one of the "first 50" or whatever, but if I get in line, and let it be known to the next person that there is another coming, is it okay to hold a place in line?
  23. JC Penney is a joke. They've had all that stuff on sale at the "Best Sale Ever" about 45 times this year.
  24. Thanks for the replies so far. I agree that I certainly would not want to take an ISP sign up rebate. Right now, I think I've got my eyes set on the emachine at BB. I wonder what CC will do. (The wait is killing me!)
