  1. It was a family tradition while I was growing up that each child would get an ornament for Christmas. I was elected to continue this tradition for the newest generation. I need to get 7 kids ages 6-2 a new christmas ornament to reflect their individual selves. Fun job, right? So, to get these at hallmark or carlton is going to cost some $$ which I dont have. Any one know of a more cost efficient site I may visit (ebay is not doing it). Or codes/coupons for the previously mentioned stores. TIA!
  2. Hi - I work at blockbuster and own a wii. The best is to rent first then buy. Sometimes I get lucky. the store I work in sells used wii games with a 30 day gaurantee to work. I love it! I also just found out (My husband appearently knew) That gamecube games can be played in the wii. My boys are going to get a lot of games for christmas.
  3. The walmarts in CT hand out tickets. They have for at least the past 4 years. Not on everything. But TVs usually. laptops are usually a run and grab. When furby's were big was the first time I remember them giving out tickets.
  4. I still use blockbuster for used movies. 4 for $20 with 30 day guarantee. Cant go wrong :)

Now that you mention it, I wonder if they sell them on the website now that they have that thing where they mail movies and you return in the mail or exchange in store. Lots of movies..... Im off to their website. I will check back later.

I also like deepdiscount.com. great deals last year. Soon they should start with the holiday specials :yup:

  5. We got ours at target on valentines day. It was the middle of a snow storm. HAvent seen one since.

Toys R Us usually get the largest shipments in around here. Everyone else gets about 3 units in at a time. Toys R Us usually receives 15-20 units at a time. I would call there as often as you can to see if they got any in.

I live in the western portion of Connecticut.

    good luck

  6. WOW, Some of these really over the top! Good for you and great deals.

    DS#1 (3yrs old)

Jump rope, book, bubbles, spiderman ball, chocolate bunny, peeps and starburt jelly beans.

    DS#2 (1yr old)

Book, elmo ball, stuffed bunny, choclate bunny, peeps and some gerber fruit snacks.

I am now also thinking of adding seeds (great idea) and I saw a velco bunny toss game the two boys can kind of play together.

We also host the family egg hunt.(7 kids between 5 and 14 months) So if you include that loot they are making out!

DH is getting a Wii game and a chocolate bunny.

Teh bunny normally forgets me :( I must have been bad all year.:tongue1:

  7. I apologize about the late reply.

My card was refunded thru Google for the exact amount. How TRU charged you twice..Sounds wierd. Keep a close eye on your statement. I am glad you had a nicer CSR.

PP- That is awsome that you got corporates number. It should help alot of upset customers if you can find it.

  8. Sorry to hear about your frustrating call. Just an FYI- google and Toys r us are not a good match. It is way easier to just go through Toys R Us. I found this out the hard way at Christmas time. People who went thru TRU had there Items shipped and credited 1st. A lot of google orders were cancelled due to items being out of stock. It was a nightmare. So I used google with other company's just not TRU.
  9. Thanks for the tip about the new Wii play. I will be going to target again tonight and I will check for this. Thanks again.

I went to so many places that were sold out-Kmart,game stop, EB and Target. We finally found the Wii play and extra controllers at Toys R us. They had a lot of stock. Every place else had nothing. No controllers or Wii play's and they were not expecting any anytime soon. Thank you toys R us!!!

My right arm is so sore :)

  10. I had fun at macy's this weekend! :D It used to be Filene's here. We dont care about brands,:yup: so that may make a difference. My mom and I went shopping for my 3yr old. I love shopping for my kids! We got him a new winter coat, 2 pairs of jeans, 4 sweaters, 1 turtle neck, 4 long sleeve shirts (rugby style) and a package of socks. Everything came to 106 dollars. I did a happy dance my son is dressed nicely and warmly for the rest of the winter. He also loves his new spiderman winter coat!
  11. Maybe it was the toddler bed. Sorry. I wasnt looking that close. My brother and I were just is the store looking for a heater. The same with toys r us. I was there with my future sister in law looking at the patriots bike for my nephew. The bed sign was at the end of the same aisle. Again I didnt look that closely. But at almost 300 dollars I would have thought it was the big bed.

Sears in the Waterbury mall (Brass mills) had a car shaped one but in a toddler size (I think) on display with all there other discounted car merchandise. I dont know if they have any to sell but it is another avenue.
