  1. What items do you think will be in very limited quantities??/

APart from electronics, I think youcan get most of the stuff even at 10.00 am.

What do you think?? I need more toys and apparel from walmart rather than electronics and computers. So if i land up in walmart at 10.00 am, od u think I will find soemthing??

    Thanks

    Simonalex

I would get there earlier if you've got your heart set on some of the toys!! They always seem to be the first to go. Two years ago I wanted a Care Bear they had for $10 and by the time I got there @ about 9 they were no where to be found. The sales guy told us they were gone in about the first 30 minutes!!!:lolrun:

  2. Thanks for all the great ideas!! You all have given me alot to think about. Maybe one of them will work. And like some of you said if she still doesn't like it then she'll just have to get over it. After all, it's the thought that counts right? :gd_devild
  3. Can you suggest some toys for 3 yr old girl?

    Thanks

What about some children's musical instruments? If you can stand the racket!! Nothing like music to nurture a childs creative thinking. Also I like the share a story Care Bear. My daughter is turning 3 this Sunday (YEAH-HAPPY B-DAY LEXI !!!) and I'm planning on getting it for her for X-MAS.

  4. lump of coal?? j/k

    HEY!! I like that idea!!!

Thanks for the ideas so far. They sound really great and I might have a couple of other people I could do that for!! But, she's just not the type to get her nails done or anything like that. She always wants to act girly but when it comes to nails and hair and lotions she just doesn't get that into it. And they symphony, play idea is a great one to except she's not very cultured.

  5. Nope...we moved to a different town this year...and there is NO WalMart here...so I have to drive an hour to even go...but it's a tradition!!

OMG!!! I couldn't imagine being that far from a Wal-Mart. Especially since we're usually there several times a week. Pathetic, I know, but we just can't help it. There's seems to always something that we need. And you just can't beat the prices there.:runaway:

  6. Ok, I know we all have that one person that is just impossible to buy for. Either you don't know what in the world they would like, or they seem to turn up their nose at every present they ever get. I thought this could be a great thread for everyone that is having a hard time trying to find a gift to get a particular someone.

So, here's my dilema. My stepmother is impossible to please. She always turns her nose up at every gift she ever receives. I've tryed Bath and Body Works, jewlrey, I even got her one of those velour outfits (that she picked out herself) last year and she's only wore it once. And I don't want to get her a gift card b/c she's one of those people that no matter how much you spend on her it's never enough. I could really use some ideas.

  7. Well, my lil one is too young to ask for anything other than maaamaaa!!! LOL so what do you get a lil one who will be just over 6 months? Actually, she'll be ALMOST 7 months (Jan 3...) We already picked up a Leapfrog for her (the one for 6-36 months...) just not sure what else she'll 'want' as this is our first (and of course, it's also the first grandchild too...and great grandchild...)

Ahh...Christmas is too soon this year!!! Maybe we should skip this year and just save the money to spend on NEXT christmas??? LOL And we can't get anything big on BF because we'll be visiting family in California and I can't imagine that the airline will let us take too much extra on the plane without charging...

Baby Einstein videos are great !!! They are very educational and contain lots of bright colors that children love. They are for 0-3 years. I sit my daughter (who is severly disabled) in front of them and even she reacts to them!!

  8. My black friday tradition so far has been to not go to sleep the night before, drive to Best Buy about 4:00 a.m., decide the line is too long, go home and go back to sleep.

I usually don't sleep either. I try but I'm always too excited to sleep. We always have to drive to the next town to go to Target b/c there isn't one in our town. The first year I was so tired that I fell asleep on my cousins shoulder on the way there. Needless to say there is a picture of it in my aunt's house.

  9. I was just wandering how everybody bought their gifts on BF? Do you see an item in the store and pick it up for a certain person on your list? Or do you see an item that is a great deal and then figure out who to give it to when you get home?
  10. I love to get cash/gift cards because I'm a very hard person to buy for. However, I hate to give them, because I always feel they are so impersonal. Plus, I always feel weird letting someone know how much I spent on them be it $5 or $500 (not really that much but you know what I mean).:elmo:
  11. My daughter is turning 3 on 10/23. I have seen advertisements for a Care Bear that reads special books that you can buy for it. I've been seeing the ads for weeks now but have not been able to locate the Care Bear in any store. Has anyone seen it anywhere?

Also, does anyone know when the new Star Wars movie come out? This one is for my big kid (my husband).:2tapdance

  12. I was just wandering what items people are going to be looking for on BF? Is there anything specific that your hoping to see in the sale ads?

I'm hoping for some of those free after rebate items Circuit City had a couple of years ago. Some of them were actually really great for gifts like the CD cases and the DVD racks. I mean, who doesn't have loads of both these days? Speaking of them, I'm also hoping for some really good deals on CDs and DVDs (my husband and I are media freaks). Our daughter who is turning 3 Sunday already has about 150 Disney and other cartoon movies!:smirk:

Also I would love to see some better deals on DVD players than what there was last year. We have several children on our list that are wanting DVD players this year.

  13. I will usually buy for as many people on my list as possible. It's much nicer to get all that I can done that day. The past few years I think I've spent around $300. It really just depends on what I find in the ads and what else the store has for a good deal that wasn't in the ads.
  14. I don't feel bad about seeing them early. The longer I know about them the more excited I get. Besides the earlier I know about the deals the longer I have to realize that something on that list would be perfect for someone on my Christmas list!!!
