  1. For the first time in 11 years I forgot my goddaughter's godchild ornament from Hallmark. I woke up at 4:30 this morning panic stricken and now I am at work calling a bunch of stores to see if they even have the ornament!
  2. I am going to stop by TRU after work and try to get the tooth tunes. I went a couple weeks ago when they were 3 for $9.99 and I had to wait until Saturday and they were sold out - I won't chance it this time. Hopefully there are still some left this time!
  3. When my dd9 was 3 she had a lisp and that year she wanted a "dump truck and a barbie." However, when she saw Santa something that sounded very profane came out of her mouth-it sounded as though she asked for a "dumb f***ing barbie." Needless to say I received a horrible glare from Santa. I had to bite my lip to stop from laughing.
  4. $2 movies (10 assorted) $15 HB blender $20 vtech sit to stand tower $4 PJs (2) $4 slippers (2) $4 fuzzy crocs (2) $4 track suits (2 girl, 1 boy) $4 hoodies (2) $15 perfume $10 HM vanity $5 light up t-shirt $18 kids table & chairs $15 crayola beginings
  5. I just heard on the news that some outlet malls (I only caught the end of the story so I do not know which ones for sure) in Illinois and Indiana will only give the BF sale price if you have the store's sales ad because there is a bar code the needs to be scanned off the ad (like a coupon) in order to give the sales price. I planed on going to the outlet mall in Michigan City, Indiana and on their site it says nothing about needing the sales ads. Has anyone else heard of this happening? I assume it has to be going on somewhere if it is on the news.
  6. I think I will just go scope out the toy section Wednesday night-thanks everyone!
  7. I was going to make walmart my first stop but I am thinking of going to kohls first b/c they open earlier. Luckily both stores are close to each other. Do you think I will be able to get most of what I am going for (hannah vanity, pjs, shoes, crayola) if I get there about 4:30?
  8. Not very often do I shop at kohls but I was going to make it my first stop this year. I am going for the 50% off toys but I am looking for 2 specific fisher price toys (a stoller and shopping cart). Does anyone know if they usually have a large assortment/amount of fisher price, or toys in general?
  9. Found collector Barbies and Avent baby bottles (big, small and 3 pack) at 30% today. I could use the bottles but I am holding out for 50%. I did get 3 MM juice for the second week in a row!
  10. If this list is right I think TRU will be my first stop!
  11. All I know is that in my mall/in my area these stores have already closed: Eddie Bauer,Lane Bryant, Talbots, Wickes, Bombay, KB Toys, Circuit City, Linens & things and Whitehall/Lundstrom jewelers. If any more stores close around me I will have nothing!
  12. Woot Woot Found 3 MM apple juices today for the first time ever! So excited! When I was checking out the cashier was training and when they rang up for .69 she was like oh this can't be right and she asked her trainor what to do and thank goodness she said to just let me have them.
  13. I am a little disappointed-there is not much on this list I am looking for. I will be there for the movies though.
  14. They had this deal in October and the controllers, remotes, nunchucks and anything of that nature were not included. Of course I didn't realize that until I was at the register but it did say it in very tiny writing.
  15. Well, I still have faith in the Angel Tree at our church. I know the recipients of the gifts are elderly people from a nearby very poor nursing home and the others are people that receive food from our food pantry and low income parishioners. I , personally, have never seen anyone ask for extravagant gifts. I pick one adult, one elderly, one infant and one child my DD's age every year. The kids always ask for things like calculators and gloves. I always pack everything in backpacks (Target clearance) and I give what they ask for and then some fun stuff too. Mom's always ask for clothes for their babies and the adults/elderly usually need toiletries, scarves, slippers, etc. I always try to think of nice stuff to buy that a mom with children wouldn't buy herself. I give to Toys for Tots too b/c both my DD's B-days are in December and no matter how many times I tell my family to not over-do it, they always do. So I send a lot of gifts my girls receive to Toys for Tots. It sounds mean to take away toys they just got but really they like to help out! There is no way to tell if you are giving to a greedy person or a needy person so you just have to keep the faith!
  16. Got this for DH last year at Sears for $90-is def worth $30
  17. got two camp rock director's chairs at 75% off was $27.xx got em for $6.xx. Will post the numbers when I find the reciepts
  18. Last year I passed a house like this every night on my way home. I could never hear anything so I kept thinking something was wrong with their electricity or electric outlet! When I told my DH about how I thought something was wrong he just laughed at me!
  19. My friend is a manager at a Target in Illinois and told me back at back to school time that her Target and all the ones in that district no longer clearence at 90%-They send it back if it doesn't sell at 75%. I haven't seen 90% off in Illinois or Indiana in a very long time.
  20. I am right there with you. I usually start shopping early-this year I started the end of August when I got DD8 a WII. I am half way through my list but am pretty much out of money. I have been really good about not using credit cards (I got married, bought a house and had a baby all in about 13 months so I racked up quite a large sum on those darn things) but I think I might have to use at least one to make sure I can pay all my other bills on time.
  21. I have been pregnant for two straight years (Irish Twins) and I used to drink mimosas every Christmas except for last year and of course this year! I want one sooo bad!!! Next year, I guess.
  22. I used to give our old mailman scratch off lottery tickets and homemade cookies but we moved in Feb 2007 and I didn't give the mail person anything last year. This year I think I will because he/she (I have never seent he mail person) always wraps boxes and such in plastic and hangs them around the mailbox. Also, I only check my mail every two weeks (I do all my banking/billing online so I only get junk mail) and the mail person always finds a way to squeeze in the mail-so I feel bad about that! I want to get my garbage man something this year because he brings my cans half way up my loooong drive way and he puts them upside down when it is raining. We also have a rule that the garbage compay only takes 1 large item per week but he always takes what ever I have. I also want to give something to my UPS guy because I live right off of a busy street so he always brings my packages to the rear door so they are not sitting on my front step for the world to see.
  23. Last weekend my local Walmart had tons of toys stacked up above the pet supplies, office supplies and every where else they would fit. I noticed some My Little Pony playsets and a bunch of other sets like that. My dd is too old for that stuff so I didn't pay a lot of attention.
  24. Oh, I got those diapers too! $10 a case--that was the best! I was 9 months preg and wasn't sure I would like the diapers so I only got 4 cases-I wish I bought more. I hope they do that again this year!
