  1. I am looking to see if anyone else has noticed clearanced pinatas? I saw them in the craft/crayola aisle last week and never gave them a second look because I had no need but now I am planning my dad's 70th birthday party and I think a fiesta sounds like fun! So has anyone else seen these and if so what is the percentage off and what is the clearance price or original price? Also, does anyone think I'd just be better off getting these at a wholesale website like Oriental Trading?
  2. I very rarely find "not found' items but I do like to go to young guys with coupons that other cashiers might see as "if-y" For example I had a target coupon for huggies and then a MF coupon and then on the package of diapers there was a Target coupon for a free tub of wipes with purchase-normally a woman would not let me use both Target coupons but the young boys send 'em right through or punch in the numbers.
  3. Our "Global Bazaar" aka Design Event 2009 is 75% off. I hadn't planned on getting anything because I though the pieces I wanted were gone, but..... As I walked in to the area I saw two of the

the ones that have a twist to them. they look just like this one from Z Gallerie

    http://www.zgallerie.com/p-2420-twist-bench.aspx

DH and I originally saw them at Z Gallerie, but didn't want to pay $119.95 Instead I got two of them (I swear they look exactly the same!) for $22.48 each!!!:D

Those are the ones I want but I never saw them in my store-just in the Target sales ad! I am going to have to go searching after work. Did these come in a box or as is?

  4. Last night I found a few ramdom items: xhileration headbands .98 (75), Nick and Nora 2 pack socks .98 (75), Herseys bags of square candy (like the Ghiradeli squares) 30% off, all Valentines Day was 15% off (never seen this before), GB was still 50%, bedding 75%, bathroom towels and rugs 75%, those newer picture frames in the black and pastel packaging all 75%, a few clocks 75%. I bought some picture frames, an "Irish Pub" oversized clock, and two girls floor lamps all 75% off. One very odd thing I saw was that a lot of the kids hat/scarves/gloves didn't go down to 75%--they were 65%--I have never seen Target use this percentage before--it wasn't all the hats, etc. but just the character ones--anyone ever see this?
  5. Almost all of our GB was gone this weekend. I had wanted a few of the furniture pieces, but they were gone the day they went to 50%. Which is unusual here, I wonder if they ordered less pieces than in the past?

Good luck on getting what you want!

My stores have had less of EVERYTHING this year....x-mas, toys, valentines, GB.....everything. It is very upsetting. I see things that I like that don't even get a chance to go on clearance and they're sold out!

  6. **I saw a 20" (I think?) bike at 50% at Target a couple of days ago. I mentioned it in one of my posts above. It was 4x.xx down from 8x.xx. Not a Schwinn but some other brand. Hawaiian motive (either light blue, or purple or pink - something light for sure)

It was def. a large bike in with the rest of them on the back wall. I saw at least 3 all with a red sticker. It's hard to know they're on sale cause there's no sign or anything but if you're looking specifically through that area you should be able to spot the little red tags..

    (Hopefully this wasn't just a one-store deal..)

Thanks so much for the speedy response! I am on my way to Target after work so I will take a look.

  7. I've been to two diff. Targets, one yesterday and one Today and have finding to report from both but my receipt from yesterday is somewhere upstairs (ds1 is sleeping) so I'll have to add that in a bit.

So I finally found Diego bike helmet at 75% for 3+. Can't believe they actually had two of them. I kept seeing 5+ and didn't even think they made 3+ but they did and I got it! Now if I can only find a girl's one for 5+ at 75% I'd be all set. :)

    ###082-01-0476 Diego Helmet 3+ $4.98 (75%)

No bulk items at this store.

Saw lots of LED book reading lights for 75%. I guess no one wants them.

Lots of children sticker/activity books I'd be interested in but still only at 50%. They moved them to electronics end-isle though..

    Also cd wallets at 75%.

Saw Thomas take-along one-pks. and 3-pks. at 50% (as prev. mentioned by the poster above.)

And some tracks and brige pk at 50%. I thought that was super weird that some of these new toys are being discounted. I thought for sure there won't be any more discounts in Toys for a while.

Also there were some card games at 50% as well. Same end-cap in Toys section.

They actually still had about a quarter of a half isle of Toys left at 75%. Some bears and electronic toys and some kind of plastic purple rainbow playset..

I have a question though.. if/when do they usually discount ride-on toys? Thanks!

I would like to know this too. I wish I would have bought DD9 a new bike at x-mas (I liked the one at wal-mart on BF) I didn't realize she was too big for her bike and now that it is a balmy 45 degrees she took it out of the garage and her knees hit the handlebars! So now I need a bike and a ride-on for DD1.

  8. I don't think so. The area that the bulk items were in will be used for: Valentine's; Easter; Summer; School; Halloween; and, Christmas.

I am pretty sure they do the bulk between holidays/seasons. I know last year I got the bulk diapers and wipes in July. By the end of July they were marked down to 30% off. I only remember this because we were camping and I had some great coupons for diapers and wipes and my hubby was mad that I left the camping trip for a bit to go to Target!

  9. Could someone please post if they find towels at 75%? I've been to Target almost daily in the last two weeks; I can't drag my kids there anymore :)

I am looking for towels too. I don't know if they go down every week or not. I just need kitchen towels but I wants to get a few packages. Right now the ones I want are 50% and I think $5 a package is still too much.

I have to say that after all the good 75% deals at Target and with all the good deals I got at Steve & Barry's and KB Toys I can't stand to look at prices when they're only 30% or 50%! For example, I saw a pair of boots that I liked at Target but they were $25 at 30% and my husband said "well just get them, they're only $25" and I had to tell him that after getting tons of shoes for $5 and under that I refused to pay $25 for a pair of shoes! He thinks I am nuts..but there is a reason my family of 5 can have a new wardrobe every season!

  10. I'm wondering for all those finding MM's do you just find them because you get there 1st thing in the morning? I never get to Target at opening (usually either after 10 a.m. or after 6 p.m.) so I figure I won't have any luck finding any MM's at that time and get too lazy to check. Do you think they can stock up on them any time of the day or is it just the certain time of the day that you get lucky?? I wouldn't mind checking that isle if I knew I had a real chance on finding some but not if I'm just wasting my time.. Thanks!

I find 1 or 2 boxes every 3 weeks or so. I usually find them at the store I go to on Friday night after work-so I don't think time matters too much. I always find them right there in front, out in the open, never hidden behind other boxes. I was actually afraid that with the MM 15 pack being on sale this week that others might find out little secret! We'll see I guess.

  11. The Vogel Rd store in Arnold MO had the Halloween Barbies for $2.74 last night. They were still marked $6 but scanned $2.74.

Funny my granddaughter (age 9) has crossed over to the Target clearance dark side. DD picked it up and said it was still $6 dgd said "Oh wait, I'll scan it that tag is probably wrong." :yup: She has learned from shopping with me never trust a red tag price. :D

This is too funny because my DD9 has also learned this. She saw a pair of purple sparkle converse on Thursday and I told her I just bought her 3 pairs of shoes last week and to put them back. She went and scanned them and said but they're only $4.xx and that's 75% off! So of course I bought them for her!

  12. I was so bummed because I had my eye on a few camping things, lantern and grill, and there were a ton on Sunday and then when I went yesterday all the aisles were moved around (the bikes and camping switched spots-which is weird b/c the aisles are right next to each other so I have no clue what the point in doing that is! ) and there was nothing left! I mean nothing but a few water bottles! Even some things that were never clearanced to 30% were just gone. I was so sad! Do you think it went from 30% to 75% and then sold out in 4 days? Most of the time my store always goes 30%, 50% and then 75%, with the exception of the toys, so I am really confused with the clearance lately.
  13. I finally made it to Target last night around 6pm. I was really disappointed-there was less than half an aisle and it was really picked over. I think maybe it went down on Wednesday instead of Thursday…I knew I should have gone to see for myself! Anyway, I did get the crammer (this is worth the $15! Very useful.) and a really nice dartboard for our game room for $20. I also found an apple MM which made up for the lack of toys. I am going to try another Target a couple towns over this afternoon to see if they have anything. I am looking for the Radio Flyer Turtle if anyone sees one anywhere in Northwest Indiana please let me know!
  14. I don't think there is anyone from around here but....the Homewood, Illinois Target is making a big, great, wonderful mistake! My friend is a manager there so I knew they were marked down to 75% but I couldn't get there until lunchtime (this happens to be the Target closest to work, not home) so when I went at 1pm there were 2 1/2 aisles (not as much as the other Target I had already been to) of mess-but great finds. This happens to be a Target doing the "extra 30% off of clearance clothes" so I loaded up. While I was checking out the cashier took an extra 30% off of everything, not just clothes! I 'fessed up and told her I thought that sale was just on clothes and she said "oh, no it's on all clearance" I was so excited I danced all the way to my car. Of course when I called my manager friend and told her what her employees were doing she was very upset and has probably stopped it---but at least I got away with it!!
  15. 75% in St. John, Indiana and Homewood, Illinois. Got tons of stuff, I was the second person there @ 8:08. The first lady there already had 2 cart fulls by the time I got to the toy aisle! I shopped for about an hour and only had 2 other people show up. Everything was neat and clean and everyone was friendly. The employees were even helping people to the registers! They had about 3 aisles and all endcaps of clearance toys-half of one aisle was only 30% & 50% but all the rest was 75%. Now only if the baby section would go lower than 30%!!
  16. The Target Home Design Event merchandise, formerly known as Global Bazaar, is already at 30% off!! It has only been 2 weeks! The bad news is that they red ticketed it, which means no 90% off this year!! Booo!! Still, there are some nice things in there I intend to pick up.

Even the employees were shocked that it is going so fast. I guess they want to push Garden stuff into the stores.

Also, they were starting to move the bulk stuff, without markdowns, to the regular aisles to make way for Valentines.[/quote

The philosophy body wash (only one sent) and a couple white cabinets were 30% two days after put on the floor! About ten days later and those few things are still the only stuff marked down.

  17. My 9dd just did this on January first, her grandmother took her. The only thing I would suggest is checking the American Girl website to see what is going on in the Chicago store the day you want to go. On the day my dd went they had crafts and introduced the girl of the year, Chrissa, and she got to meet the author of the Chrissa book. Also, depending on what you want to do it might be cheaper to not do the "day at" package. My dd wasn't too interested in having pics taken so her grandma let her pick out the things she did want to do (lunch, matching outfits, etc.).
  18. At my Target they have about 20 big plastic playsets (like the Little Tykes--I think they are Step 2 or something). They have been at 30% for about a month now and I have only seen a few move. They are originally $200 or so. I have never seen big items like this included in the toy clearance-has anyone else?

Here's the name of it "Little Tikes Picnic on the Patio Playhouse" originally $229.99
