    Mashed potatoes

I make twice baked potatoes sometimes by baking the potato, cleaning out the filling and adding sour cream, cheddar cheese, and bacon to the mixture and mixing it with the electric mixer but leaving some lumps for the baked potato like texture. Then I restuff the skins and bake them for 20 mins. My 8 year old LOVES them this way.

    Mashed potatoes

I use yukon gold potatoes, after I peel them I slice them up and put them in cold water in the cooking pot with no salt. I put the pot on the burner and boil them until you can put a fork through the potato slices but not until they are mushy. Drain in a colander sitting over the pot and let sit for 5 mins or so to make sure they are drained well. I then put them in a large mixing bowl with a full stick of butter for up to 5 pounds of potato and enough heavy cream to make them creamy. I mash with a hand masher at first and then whip them with the wire whisk attachment on my mixer. I let everyone add their own salt and pepper at dinner but the heavy cream and real butter are a must.
  3. crap I wish I'd noticed the post about the free wrapping I didn't get that! I used the 20% off code because it was worth more than the shipping and got this and a roadster toy for my 16 month old
  4. To get the free shipping to the store you have to order from the store not online.
  5. my 3 year old daughter LOVES floor puzzles and the melissa and doug wooden puzzles, she's also getting into the trace books to learn her abc's and 123's. We have a ton of dress up stuff and she has 3 aprons and a chef's hat and rolling pin my aunt bought her at a craft fair for when we cook.
  6. I don't use their regular makeup but the minerals I like as much as my bare esscentuals
  7. there is a maximum $100 discount for the 70% off code just fyi
  8. I don't know if there are still any left but our walmart had a TON of them left at 6 30 this morning
  9. Damnit! I had the chairs in my cart and headed straight to checkout, all logged in all ready to go and out of stock!
  10. LOL Brad, Serve some virtual coffee up too would ya? We'd all appreciate it!
  11. could I please please please have the 25% off coupon?
  12. yeah like the mini christmas lights my brother needs 10-15 strands of 100 for his wedding
  13. for a reasonable price without a fortune in shipping? anyone?
  14. I don't know a good price lol but this is funny because I did the same thing with my daughter's Dora bandaids!
  15. you have to put down what Walmart you want to pick it up at when you checkout and if you want someone else to pick it up that has to be put on there as well, they will need id to pick it up.
  16. anyone know where to find a regular black tie in 12 months size as opposed to a bow tie which is all I can seem to find in the stores. I would be perfectly happy to buy online if the shipping isn't too outrageous but today I do not have the time to search for one!
  17. I got 10% off at Lowe's in the moving pack at the post office but heck if I could get 20% off from eBay I think maybe I should look!
  18. Our Walmart definitely has cameras over every register which I had no clue of and my husband is an Assistant Manager. I was charged for 3 18 packs of beer when I only purchased one... I had 4 kids with me and a ton of groceries so I didn't notice until I got home and reviewed the receipt. My husband took the receipt into work with him and got the money back.. I said you had no problem? Then he told me that he asked them to review the tape and make sure so they didn't have a problem later on. He said they told him they trusted him and he said review the tape anyway I don't want an issue... so long story short I didn't know they had cameras over the registers but apparently they do because I was on one and had no idea about it lol.
  19. yeah they should be able to just pull it up on your account and they should swap out for the same shoe same size at the store
  20. Walmart here doesn't pay minimum wage ever they always start at least a dollar above.....
  21. I agree... I'm sure I'll get plenty of flack over it but I think if Walmart is getting fined and sued then so should every person that stepped on that poor man should be as well
  22. good for you! The last book fair my 8th grader attended I sent in money and he came home with a $3 pack of food shaped erasers and a $10 flashlight =( Believe me he knew he was not to do that but he did it anyway and he didn't get any money for the next one. We donate books to the classroom when we purchase elsewhere I usually pick up one or two and we buy when the book orders are sent home just not from them. edited to add I do buy books published by Scholastic and I'm sure I don't make much of a difference in boycotting the orders and online site but it makes me feel like I'm at least making an effort.
