the nextar doorbuster gps from kohls last year. maps were so out of date that it didn't show anything built in the last ten years. kept it for awhile anyway b/c dh had no speedometer and this did the trick. then it broke after three weeks. exchanged for new unit and the same thing happened again. and again. total p.o.s. and waste of $

does everyone realize that this actually works out to a 10 day vacation if you use the $25 water park option?
this would mean that you dont go to the four parks on the same days as the water parks or disney quest, but believe me this will still keep everyone plenty busy and you might even be able to work in some actual relaxation time, lol! that still works out to $500 for a 10 day vacation for my family of 5.
and remember that military gets into sea world for free up to 4 people 1x/year through the annheuser busch heroes salute program (this applies to busch gardens in tampa too but you have to make the two hour drive from orlando and i believe that you would have to choose either s.w. or b.g. as you can only do one annheuser busch park/year for free)

I bought this for my husband as an early xmas gift. He opened it that day and immediately had trouble, it wouldn't load the maps. So I brought it back to Kohls and they exchanged it for a new one, same model. This one worked great for one week. After that it quit on him again and now will not advance past the initial screen.
At this point I called Nextar tech support and all they can tell me is to return to the retailer. I think I'm just going to return for a refund and shop elsewhere for a different brand. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up in case you're not planning to open until xmas. Save your receipt!! Anyone else had this trouble?

ended up returning and exchanging one more time. worked for 3 weeks this time, just quit again! anyone else?

last night i got the i can play guitar for $19.99 and the cartridges for $3.74. was marked $39.99 and the cashier was really ticked that i was getting such a deal. this was after she refused to give me 90% on the scrapbooking and lps set. i had a smile on my face from ear to ear and that just made her even more angry. HA!

oh well. called dick's sporting goods last night looking for the light blue mammoths and they just got a huge shipment, all colors and sizes. if the website sells out and you have a dicks near you, might be worth calling to check.

on the flip side of this issue, i recently went in to walmart to buy the paper specifically for the sunday ads. i was told they only carry 1 newspaper (i live near the state line and normally have 3 or 4 papers to choose from). well what do you know, the one paper they carry does NOT include ANY store flyers other than walmarts. on a sunday! talk about trying to limit the competition. promptly walked out and went to target

:gdangry4: :gdangry4: just an fyi, during the wii b2g1 sale a few weeks ago, my store put up a handwritten sign that said wii play was limited to 1 per family. of course, this was right after the guy in front of me tried to buy 4 copies. he argued (successfully, by the way) that there was no limit printed in the ad. i watched the clerk post the sign immediately after that. it's a good thing i was still able to get my copy, otherwise there would have been steam coming out of my ears

at my store the washcloths were dark blue, lt blue, lt green, and white

i got the jones sour lemon sodas. kids were excited to try them but they were waaayyyy too sour. so mom got the bright idea of dumping splenda packets into the open cans to make them drinkable. all i have to say is instant lemon volcanoes all over the table during dinner was definitely not my best moment, but kids and dh thought it was hilarious.

i saw lots of these yesterday in my store in the wine and chocolate brown colors, mostly fulls and queens. the kicker was i couldn't find a flat and a fitted in the same color/size. otherwise would have grabbed a few sets.
